I've used Pop's Flooring (Rares Pop is the owner) for floors both in my rental condo on the northeast side of Chicago as well as my home in Summit, IL. Flooring, you say? Well, he also brought in an excellent team for the repair of my walls and painting here at my home. They did great work and were very careful to cover everything and clean up afterward. I compared estimates and found them reasonable. My father is a retired painting/decorating contractor and I HIGHLY recommend one of his former employees that does freelance in addition to the company he works for now. Nino Macias has done work 4 times for me. Drywall, paint, installed recessed lighting, and crown molded. This spring he's redecorating my main bath. Sergio Mino did GREAT drywall repair and painting for us last September, as we scurried to get our house ready for our premie daughter. He and his wife Carol are really just very nice people. I would recommend MJR Remodeling. Mark (the owner) will come and give you an estimate of the cost at no charge. He does all the work himself and is always on time and a great communicator. He has a list of references too.
