Need a baby food grinder to make baby food?

So far all we've fed the little guy is rice cereal. The other night, I fork-mashed some cooked carrots and let him try them, and he was absolutely disgusted (it was hilarious!). I figure that's normal for the first time, but I also felt that the consistency was to lumpy for him too (he's 6 mos). The reviews I've read of manual baby food mills seem to be very negative (amazon, target, etc.), and I already own a small food processor. I'm wondering if that would do just as well, rather than buying another contraption. Anyone have any experience to share? Thanks!

In my experience a food processor works really well for making baby food. I used one until it broke. :( Then I thought I'd buy a food mill, because I thought that might be easier, but I have not been impressed. Basically I have found that mine just ends up juicing whatever I am trying to mash and leaving lumpier stuff behind. Mine is not a "baby food" mill, though it says it can be used for that. Anyway, I would suggest that you just use the food processor that you already have. I didn't have any issues with that until it broke, and I think it broke just because it was two years old.
