Hello, Our health insurance is changing from Lovelace to one that contracts with Pres and UNM, so we have to change our doctors.
I'd love to hear about any great pediatricians or family/primary care physicians in these plans.

we had the same thing happen a few months ago...we now use Dr. Seelinger (who is part of a 4 woman pediatric team/office). So far we are pleased with our experience. They are on Carlisle and Indian School...right across the street (south of) Wild Oats.
also, After Hours Pediatrics has recently added "during hours" times and they are WONDERFUL...they take a variety of insurance plans so you may want to check with them. (i think they are on montgomery and wyoming-ish...but don't quote me on that)
I take my daughter to West Mesa Pediatrics, they are part of the Pres in Rio Rancho. Dr. Inigo is really great, but I've also seen Dr. Walsh there and she is awesome as well. The only one I wasn't as happy with was Dr. Bruce. I drive her there from the South Valley, just because I was so happy after with Dr. Inigo who happened to be on call when I delivered her and she had some complications. She is very easy to talk to and has made it clear she doesn't try to do any tests or anything just because insurance will cover them. Taking a 1 yr old to draw blood "just to see" if is not required, or fun for anyone!!! (My experience with Dr. Bruce)
Good luck finding the right person

I recently had to change doctors because of the same reason. I went from Pres to BCBS. My peditrician was Dr Thomas Rothfeld. He is on San Mateo and central. He is very kind and I was so sad to leave him. He took his time at each vist with my son and he allowed me to go over the 101 questions I had without making me feel like a crazy mom. He was always available by phone when I needed questions answered. Good luck in your search I hope you find a doctor that is good for you and your child.
I am not sure where you live but the pediatricians at the Presbyterian High Resort office in Rio Ranch are wonderful. Particulary Dr. Karen Walsh. She runs on time, so little waiting, is very good with the children and families, answers questions and you don't feel rushed. Their number is 462-8855 good luck
