Dr. Andrew is not a pediatric dentist per se, but he has a great pediatric hygenist and he has a great manner with kids. They even let my son come to MY cleaning and sit next to me. Really patient people.
I went to a ped. dentist b4 (Dr. McCullum on M St), and they had a policy that no parents w/ the kids after the first visit, regardless of age. Who do they think they're kidding? Like I would leave my <12-y-o alone in a strange place until THEY were comfortable there!
Another name I hear a lot is Dr. Brain, but I don't know him personally and I don't know where he is or a ph#.

My daughter sees Dr. Sun and my aunts kids see Dr. Camm, they are both amazing, they have a waiting room full of toys but I never have to wait past my appointment time to be seen, in the exam room they have tvs on the ceiling with headphones for the kids. Their goal isn't just treating teeth but also treating kids future relationship with dentists. I'm not sure if they are accepting new patients right now though.
