I'm frustrated with finding some friendly challenges in the area of playing word games. Facebook has a nice game called Word Challenge but I don't want to open my account to everyone around the world (LOL).
I would like some suggestions (or volunteers) to play such word games with me. Would someone here (on Mamapedia) help me or do any of you have alternate ideas?
Sometimes I wish I had an iPad or iTouch. It is so nice to be hearing from people from all across the nation. I saw New York and California as well as Minnesota!

My son tells me we can play Boggle or Scrabble on our Ipad thingies. But you have to be linked. It's getting to complicated for me with adding another electronic element. I'll probably just keep playing the computer, even though I don't agree with it sometimes and can tell it so.
I'm obsessed with Scramble on iPhone. I think I'm level 346... You can play by yourself or versus a group. Sometimes games will have 200+ players.
are you playing WORDS WITH FRIENDS on an i pad or an I phone?? A lot of folks I know play this everyday (including me). If you do, I will send you my log on in a private email.
I play scrabble on FB all the time. I don't like opening my info to the world either. But with scrabble you can choose your opponent instead of playing random strangers, so I play against my sister all the time.

I play Words with Friends on my IPod Touch and I absolutely love it! You can search for opponents or you can do a random opponent. It's a lot of fun!
Go to pogo.com! Its a game website where you can play free games and not have to pay for an account. There is an option thought open an account and you won't have to deal with 30 sec intermission. Anyways I play bogglebash, word whomp, and scrabble all the time. You play against other players and can even chat with them.
Have you looked at Scrabble at the Pixie Pit?
I've been playing this for a few years with various people.
There is a charge, $12/year, but it's definitely worth in, in my opinion.
Now that I've been playing this kind of Scrabble,
I no longer enjoy playing "ordinary" Scrabble in person.
Also, if you have local friends or family to play with,
I recommend BOGGLE. Boggle is wonderful.

Such wonderful insights!! I have found Scrabble at pogo.com or on Facebook to work for me (as long as I use a Windows PC and not my Mac, which I find a little strange). Who knows, I may be challenging one of you grand ladies online! LOL
