Need to go back to work first week in March. My new baby boy will be 8 weeks old. Original daycare plan fell through. Need cheaper option than traditional daycare facilities. Any thoughts or options out there?
The city of Schaumburg has a list of all their licensed daycares, including home daycares, which are a little less expensive.
I took my son to a home daycare in Schaumburg when he was a newborn. While it wasn't the BEST daycare, it was safe and nurturing. She is not licensed though and in my opinion takes on too many kids...I have no idea if she has any openings but her name is Rita Ciancio and she lives on Salem....I don't have the phone number anymore though.
The list of licensed providers in Schaumburg is at :

I also live in Schaumburg and when my daughter was younger I enrolled her in La Petite Academy. She was there for approximately two weeks-we both hated it. It was expensive and much to rigorous considering the age of the children. On a kids day off from public school I picked my daughter up from the fenced area. There were at least 45 children playing outside, and I could not locate a teacher or my daughter. Needless to say that was her last visit! My twins just turned a year old and I have decided to stay at home with them. Good luck. I also have a home based business selling pool and spas accessories.
I am a SAHM and have an 11 1/2 month old daughter myself. I live in Carpentersville right off of 90 so I am assuming I am out of your way but am looking to possibly start looking after a few children. Give me a shout if you are interested.
I am a SAHM and have an established daycare in my home in Bartlett, IL. Feel free to contact me if you like :) 630.346.4804
