I am looking to buy an umbrella stroller that is a little nicer and easier to use than the $30 one I have currently. I have been looking at Peg Perego, MacClaren, Chico, Zooper, and Combi. I have a 16 month old son around 27 lbs. I would love your opinions of strollers you love or hate since this is a fairly big purchase for an umbrella stroller over $100.
I can't help you with brands but there are lots of strollers on www.craigslist.com and won't be such a big purchase. I like ones with extended arms because I am 5'10' - in the neigborhood I see a lot of macClaren and Peg Perego. Hope this helps.
Hey, just saw your request - I know its a bit late and you probably have a stroller sorted by now, but we have a peg perego pliko p3 and just love it! its an umbrella, folds up easily, manual does say one handed release, but I cant quite manage that - but its wonderful, steers like a dream, has adjustable handles which is great as my husbands 6'4 and very easy to put up and down. i did a load of research before we bought as i wanted an umbrella for easier storage as it will stand in the corner and doesnt take up any more room that a golf bag. For travel we have a chicco umbrella as it weighs nothing and has a shoulder strap which is great for airports. this is a lightweight one though. good for airports, malls etc...
i did see a p3 on craiglist last week. Hope that helps.
