Legal help to modify divorce decree - Child with special needs

I need to find a legal way to modify my divorce decree. Currently, I have custody of my son and daughter and my ex-husband sees our children per the standard visitation dates. Problem is who he leaves our children in care of when he goes to work. My son has autism. He is high fuctioning. In addition to this my has several food allergies and is on a special diet. He also has speech problems as well too. When my son's diet is not followed his behavior is very difficult to manage. He gets a rash too. It can take up to a week to get him back on track.During that time it is a great struggle to get my son to get ready for school, do homework, go to class, take a shower, etc. When his diet is followed is such a happy and agreeable child. I want to modify my divorce decree to state that my ex-husband must return the children back to me when he has to work on his weekends and or he leaves our children in care of someone that is qualified to watch over my son. I have no idea how to get this done or where to start. Any legal resources and or agencies that can help me would be extremely helpfull.

Crista Marichalar-Branch is an attorney we used for my husband's custody case. She is very good, affordable & has extensive knowledge with family law. Her number is (210) 227-8200. All the best to you, I know how difficult the situation can be with an unstable parent.

Consider asking him personally to reschedule visitations on weekends that he has to work. And, then, if he agrees, make sure you give him the visitation time that was rescheduled. If you both agree to it, there should be no legal issue. If he disagrees, then I would contact a lawyer to see what avenues you have.
