I'm planning a June baby shower for a friend, and we are expecting between 50-60 people! I'm looking for a nice place near Mission Viejo that will hold that many people and won't cost an arm and a leg. We would actually prefer a hall or room where we can provide our own food, but I'm open to everything at this point. Any ideas? Thanks!!
You might want to look into the Rancho Santa Margarita community center. They have beautiful rooms that you can reserve. I'm not familiar with Mission Viejo's community center.

Check at your churches in the area. There are several that have nice facilities.
My family threw a shower for me at Mimi's Cafe. I had about 50 guests. We used the back room and ordered appetizers and drinks for every one. It was fairly inexpensive. I'm not sure if there's a Mimi's in Mission Viejo but it was great and there was no clean up for my family.

I don't know whether Laguna Beach is convenient for your guests but The Women's Club of Laguna Beach on St. Anne's St. has a big hall and you can bring your own food since it has a kitchen. It is a popular venue here in town so getting a date in June may be a challenge but it would be worth a try.
