I have some old jewelry (not just gold) that I'm looking to sell. Is it better to take them to a pawn shop? Or does anyone know of a reputable jewelry store that buys back jewelry?

Well, I don't really know, but I do know that I was in my jewelry store a few months back and my gal was telling me that she would buy back gold that we had, but I'm not sure about other metals or stones???
We use Glitters at 119th and Roe (across from Town Center behind Hallmark) and work with Patty. You may give them a call to find out for sure but everyone there is extremely knowledgable and nice!
The owner of the company I work for (graphic design), also owns another company, Rarities Exchange. They have a website www.weneedgold.com. They don't just buy gold though. They had a set up at a Hampton Inn in Overland Park for 4 days a couple of weeks ago where people could bring their items in in person instead of mailing them. Not sure if they'll be doing that again soon or not. In researching other gold buying companies, it sounds like his has the best set up. When they receive your items, they tell you what it's worth and if you don't like the amount, they'll return them to you. Good luck!
