Inexpensive daycare in Farmington Hills area

Hi all,

I may have the opportunity to pick up either a part-time or a full-time job soon. We really, really need the money. Currently, we are living with my parents and on my husband's salary have no hope of ever being able to move out.

The big thing is that all of the day care I have seen so far is ridiculously expensive and would completely negate my husband's or my salary. So, then it's a dumb loop of being stuck on one income which isn't enough, but we can't both afford to work. I never in my life imagined that I wouldn't be able to afford to work!! What an oxymoron!

Anyway, the potential job is in the Wixom area. I'm wondering if any of you have any recommendations for inexpensive childcare in the Farmington Hills area (or even Novi, or southern Wixom).

Itty Bitty Kiddie City in Livonia is pretty reasonable price. As far as going to a center rather than in home, it's about as cheap as you can get. The number is 734-469-4720. Its at 6 and Middlebelt, so pretty close to Farmington Hills.

Have you checked into the public schools? I am in Northville and the school system here has daycare as well as preschool!
