How to use a tanning bed and protect my face

Hi I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions on using a tanning bed and covering my face...I use Proactive and can burn easily. I've tried putting a towel and shirt over my face but my face still burns. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just because the rest of your body doesn't burn doesn't mean you aren't damaging it. My advice- instead of worrying about protecting your face from burning in a tanning bed, try mystic tan.

If you absolutely have to tan in a bed, try putting baby sunscreen on your face. It usually comes in a higher SPF. I have very sensitive skin- burn incredibly easy- and use SPF 50.

I love to tan too! So many people look down on it but I'm right there with you.
So I do tan my face but always put 15spf on even in the tanning bed. My mom on the other hand who also loves to tan puts 45spf on her face and also puts a towel over her face. I'm telling you the woman is 58 years old and she doesn't have a wrinkle on her face.
It's that time of year to get your base coat! Happy Tanning!

Where's your store at?

I work for a tan company, actually The Tan Co in Bothell. I have just been training so I am getting a lot of info on how your body tans, UV light and the differences. Anyways, we require eyewear because the thinest layer of skin on your body is your eye lids. We describe it this way, you know when you put a flash light on your hand and you can see the light through it, well the same is when you put a towel on your face and then the UV lights. The UV lights still shine through. Call a tan company and ask for a suggestion that would work. They are the experts and my company strives to know all they can about the body's tanning process and how to protect over exposure, the difference in UVA and UVB light.
