Home inspection

I am looking for a licensed inspector to do our "prepurchase" home inspection. I am in the Farmington area. Any recommendations? Feel free to private post me! I need to make a decision in the next few days so we can get this all scheduled and the paperwork can move ahead.

Heather Hope this is not to late but I use Technihouse out of Bloomfield hills 248-855-5566

we had an extremely thorough one (we were both in real estate before we moved here and knew what to ask when we interviewed for one) I would NOT go with the recommendation of your agent - they know who to recommend to get the inspection through and house sold. if you still need one PM me and I will getthe name and number for you.

I used to work for Inspection By Pros, in Belleville. They are VERY thorough. They are slightly more expensive, but worth every penny. Good luck in your new home

The most thorough and qualified man on the planet is Barry Whitehead. He is not only licensed in the State, he is also certified with American Society of Home Inspectors, which is a very rigorous qualification. He is also a super sweet guy.

Tell him Peggy in Plymouth sent ya.

Both are EXCELLENT inspectors -

I'm a structural engineer that has worked with them on many houses... they flag the right items to flag. Please let them know I referred you.

We went with Shamrock Home inspection several times (deals falling apart, etc) and LOVED them. He provides a whole binder full of information and is just a great guy. He also had a ton of referrals if anything needs to be fixed. We've even call back to him for more referrals over the last year and every single person he suggested has been amazing! I can find his number if you want it, just send me a message!

Hey Heather,

My husband and I recently attended a seminar about purchasing a home, through our bank and we met a home inspector there. Here is his info:
John
Quality Home Inspector, Inc.
(248) 471-9800.

He is a member of American Society of Home Inspectors. He said he typically spends about 3 1/2 hours in a 1200 sq. ft. home. He said that in MI an inspector does not need to be licensed so if you don't use him be sure to use someone that is apart of organization. Hope this helps

Heather,
Hi I have the absolute best inspectors ever, I promise, they have never let me down. My two friends recently used them, and loved them. It is a brother team, they are so detailed, they will actually spend a couple of hours there, depending on the square footage. I have used them for three houses, one I lived in for 10 years, one I just bought 2 years ago, and one they stopped me from buying(thank god). I am overly impressed and I don't know them personally. I work with a woman, who used to sell reality on the side and thats how I discovered them. They give you a really nice print out, detailed by color, depending on the most crucial to the least to worry about. just awesome. They are Bloomfield house inspectors (248)886-1040 I think they're names are bob and tom or bob and john maybe. I hope you check them out it's worth the money. good luck

Signed purchase agreement this morning… inspector coming monday! Looks like Mid June we will close and move in to our home!! YEAH!!!
