Help me find the best elementary school in Stanwood or Marysville.

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking a look at my request. I need help finding the best elementary school for my son. I am willing to relocate if I have to. I was not impressed with the school he is suppose to go to. I would love to know if there is a website that shows you how each school rates teacher turn over, grades, tests ect. I am most interested in other moms opinions on the local elementary schools. Thanks again.

I too was left with making the decision of where to live when we moved to Washington and a friend recommended a website: www.greatschools.net. This website is truly amazing and it rates each school based on many different topics including test scores, teacher ratings, funding per child, etc. It also allow you to compare different districts. We ended up moving to Stanwood because I liked the area, loved the house we bought and was comfortable with the elementary school my children will be going to when they get to school age. Best of luck in your search!

I just had a daughter graduate from Lakewood High. She went to Lakewood Elementary, English Crossing and the Middle school. She grew up in the district. I was happy with the academics of the school compared to Stanwood where sports are more important. My daughter was able to get a great education and play basketball and volleyball for Lakewood. My son graduates next year and is doing well in the Science and Math departments.
My nephews go to Stanwood Elementary and are happy so far. Sports not part of school until Middle and High school there. They play for community sports right now.
Marysville's only good elementary is Quil Ceda, a more specialized school. The special education department is great at Marshall Elementary. Middle and High schools too crowded and kids are not doing as good as others in academics. I have family and friends that kids went to Marysville.
I hope this helps.
