I have a 21 month old and will like to enroll him in a preschool in or near Torrance, CA. I am looking for a good school that is good in education as well as etiquette training and the children are well cared for. I would like the school to be able to prepare him academically to progress to next step in his education.
There is a fantastic preschool in Torrance called "Riviera PlaySchool" that provides a montessori-like environment in an outdooor setting. The kids learn about nature (caterpillars to butterflies; tadpoles to frogs, etc.)
and spend most of their time outdoors, playing with one another. It's the best format for prepartation for kindergarten, and life!

I had my daughter (now 18) in Noah's Ark Pre School which is part of South Bay Church of God 1 block from Torrance Elementary on Yukon between 190th & Artesia. They walk the kids to and from school. The director Sherry (now retired) was a loving and caring Christian woman. I am sure whoever replaced her is just as wonderful.
