My family and I are relocating up to the tri-cities area. Any ideas of good areas to live? We have three kids (ages almost 5, 2 1/2, and 10 months) and we'd like to be in a good and safe area. We are open to renting a 3 bedroom apartment, but would love to rent a house. Any ideas? Please send them my way!
Hi Tiffany ! We moved here a year ago from Colorado. We ended up in South Richland. We really lucked out since the Richland school district is the BEST and it is a very safe area! We were told to stay out of the Pasco area when we moved and I agree. Kennewick has nice areas also.If you go with Richland try to get in an area that puts you in Badger Mountain or White Bluffs elementary schools. Rentals are sparse in these areas though. You could try looking at Crown Property Management for a rental house or www.Craigslist.com. We finally purchased a house after renting for a year since the rental homes were hard to come by. The nicest 3 bd apartments are the Villas at Meadow Springs they are about 5/6 yrs old with garages.
Hope that helps ! Contact me for any questions !

I agree with Gayle. South Richland. Badger Mtn. Elementary. I have just seen a house for rent off Canyon Dr. and Leslie Rd. Walking distance to the school and stores.
Tiffany,
Hi. We just moved to Kennewick from the east coast last year. We live in the neighborhood of Hansen Park and love it. There are lots of young families around. I know there are some new apartments/condos right here but I'm not sure about any homes for rent. If you are moving for work (we also moved after my husband finished his PhD), the company should offer to support you with some type of agent. We bought a new home right away and used Delores Besser http://www.deloresbesser.com/, and loved her!!
Good luck to you!
