Gift for Pre-school teacher

Ok, so my daughter started pre-school this year. We all love her teacher very much! What I need to know is....do we get her a present for x-mas? I'm not sure!? And if we get her a gift, what is appropriate?? I'm completely clueless, lol. Thanx for any help, and Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.

As a mom/stepmom of 4... I 've always loved buying teachers gifts. Now that the oldest 3 are in middle school, they are too cool for that. So my 8 year old is my last chance to do so.

I've always found a few things that are a hit. Small gift sets from Bath &Body works.. All women love that. Also, I have made gift baskets filled with goodies that I made at home. (Just make sure to ask if she's allergic to anything)

But this year my daughter's teacher asked that in lieu of presents to her, that we buy a gift card to a school supply store of office depot so she can purchase extra things for her classroom.

Hope these ideas helped!

I think your best bet is either books for the classroom or a gift card to a school supply store. I was doing a search on this and teachers were polled and actually said they prefer NOT to receive candles, body lotions, etc, and baked goods. I guess they get a ton of them and would rather receive a gift that will allow them to do more for their classrooms since a lot of those expenses come out of their own pockets. Not sure about preschool, but I imagine they buy a lot of products for their classrooms too. You could always do a personal gift (like a drawing or picture) that your child made too if you don't want to spend a lot of money. HTH!
