I recently moved to Asheville and don't know very much about the area. I have to very energetic girls 7 and 4. I just want to know what type of activities or entertainment for them to do in this area.
I also just recently moved to Asheville with my fiance and 9 month old. I found this great group online called Asheville mamas meetup. They post a lot of activities to do. Also there is a yahoo group called Asheville mamas that is great also.
I live in asheville and have a two year old. There isn't much here but I usually take him to the park on azalea road its a new one and alot to do. Also there is a fun depot on sweeten creek road and chucky cheese by the mall on tunnel road. The pools will be open soon and my favorite is the one by charles d own middle school seems to be the cleanest. And if you are looking for amusement parks there is carowinds in charlotte which is about a hour and half away. I highly recommend it cause the prices arnt outrageous like disney world. We also have dollywood which is more family orientated hope that helps if you need directions just let me know.
Bring them to the Health Adventure downtown (Pack Square). It is educational and fun. Also, there is the Nature Center next to Azalea Park and if you want games, bowling, go-karts, etc. then the Fun Depot could be good. I also like to bring my daughter to Carrier Park on Amboy Road. It has walking trails, a track, a great playground, and a basketball court. My husband and I also bring our daughter to UNCA basketball or Asheville Tourist baseball games once in a while.
