My son's flag football team is coming to the end of the season. We want to get each boy a little something without spending alot. They are the Wildcats (just like the Kansas State Wildcats, same colors purple, black and silver). Any suggestions on something we could get them?? I can be crafty too, so if there's a cute idea on how to make something for them, I'm open to those ideas as well.
My son's football coach penciled the shape of the kiddos hands, then trace them on a metal piece, cut it out and painted the team colors. Each childs name information was put on it. Granted he was a welder so it worked for him working with steal.
Last year I bought little flag football trophies from a local place. They were like $8 a piece and included the engraving with their name, year, and team name.
Our kiddo's always get trophies...and personalized awards...funny ones. One was "the best dirt dobbler" and anothe was "the best backwards runner". So just something fun for the kids.
We got the coaches t-shirts. We are the Chargers and the kids all had blue handprints and we used yellow puff paint to write their names on the handprints. The coaches (my husband and a good friend) LOVE them!! We also got them Chargers Christmas ornaments - since we did this for the fall season :).
Good luck!
I think thst the only gifts needs to go to the coaches and team moms. Lets stop treaaing the boys for doing what they should be doing--playing. The coaches and moms are going the extra mile--not the boys.
This would be a great time to teach the boys that.
