Does anyone have know anything about the Discovery Preschool in coral springs
My daughter goes there. She is 2. She has been enrolled since October 2006. The staff is very caring and very attentive. Just beware that compared to other daycare/preschools out there, they are closed a lot of days b/c they follow the broward county school system calendar(this includes spring break, x-mas break, teacher planning, etc....) They also have "fun days" which are days they are open when the broward public schools are closed but you have to pay extra for those days on top of what your tuition is. They demand tuition a month in advance, which makes it difficult if you end up wanting to change schools. Also, they are not open from 6:30 to 6:00 like many daycare/preschools. They are strict about drop off and pick up times and again charge you extra for dropping off early or picking up late. Many schools do not do that at all, you can drop off and pick up anytime between their operating hours. They also charge more and change the hours for their "Summer Sessions", which are two five week sessions.
But they do offer 1/2 day schedules 2 or 3 days a week; also 3/4 days and full days. So that is a benefit most schools don't offer. It's either five full days or 3 full days. That is the reason we keep our daughter there, b/c she only goes 2 half days.
Hope this info helps. Do as much visiting around as you can before you decide. We didn't and are now regretting it a little bit.
