We are in a new neighborhood and all families have moved in within the last 2 months. We are planning a holiday get together (open house) and I was looking for some ice breaker type games so people can get to know each other. it will be mostly adults attending but about 4 kids will attend (6-14 yrs). Any ideas? Thanks!
For the adults purchase name tags… On each of them write a person, character or place… As each person comes in, place one of these random tags on their backs… They are to go around and ask yes or no questions, until they guess what is on their back…
This is a fun ice breaker…
Example, a fruit cake, prancer, sugar plum fairy, Christmas tree…
Also, do you have a “Pickle” ornament on your tree? There is a traditional Christmas game where, the first person to find the hidden pickle ornament on the Christmas Tree, wins a prize (we usually give them a pickle ornament)… Do not announce this game until everyone has arrived.
We also play fun and crazy Christmas music along with the traditional music… Pandora is a great way to find a good mix.
Name tags are a great ice breaker. Other than the name in the middle, have them write different things in each corner, like the name of their spouse in one corner, how long they’ve been married in another corner, how many kids they have etc ect.
