Any ideas on where I can get a Christening gown or long, all white dress for an 18 month old? We are finally able to get our princess baptized, but the problem is finding a dress for an 18 month old. Most Christening gowns only go up to 9 or 12 months, and the ones that are actually in her size are pretty pricey.
Gosh, of course I can't think of the name off the top of my head. . .
There is a little baby boutique in that new area Park Place off of 119th and Nall. I'll ask my mother in law who only had 2 grand daughters and bought both little gowns/outfits locally.
Oh I feel your pain! My son was baptized a few months ago and although he was only 6 months he was in 12 month clothes! If you think looking for a dress is hard...try a boy's outfit!! ;) Anyway, I didn't have much luck, honestly, but you can try some of the higher end speciality stores like Janie and Jack, Gymboree or the dept. stores like Dillards, Nordstroms, and Macy's. Burlington is a great suggestion also. If worst comes to worst, look on line. I did find a bunch of websites that sold gowns but it's hard to buy on line they definitely weren't less money.
Burlington Coat Factory has lots of options. I am not sure on the sizes they carry. We didn't have our little guy wear a traditional outfit at 12 months, and there were no questions asked.
there is a place in independence called The Tot Shoppe that has all kinds of gowns. they seem to be reasonably priced from when i have shopped for my little one there.
Out of the blue, Kylie’s grandma said she wanted to buy Kylie’s christening dress. The only place we could find a nice white dress in her size was Dillards. Burlington did not have any her size, nor did Marshalls. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
Today was her Baptism and she did great and she was simply a beautiful little girl in her dress
