Breast Pumps--renting or purchasing?

I'm looking for breast pump suggestions. I will be a full-time pumper when this baby gets here. :) Has anyone ever rented the professional ones? What are the opinions on both? Any you absolutely loved and any you hated?? Thanks! :)

I really liked my rental and I didn't have to worry about replacing any parts on it.

I chose to purchase, just for the reason that I planned on breastfeeding for at least a year and it was more cost efficient to purchase. I used the Medela advanced pump. It was costly but definitely worth it for my situation (I worked full time). I loved it. It took about 8 minutes to completely empty my breasts.

We bought the Playtex pump, and it wasn't strong enough for me! We then rented one and it worked great. My advise is rent one first if you like it then purchase the the closest one too it. You may end up spending $30 for a trial run but worth the money to do so, rather buying one ur not comfortable with then be out the 300$.

Probably buying one is the smart way, if you rent you will be spending more money. I loved my Medela one. Also if you get WIC they will provide an electric double pump when the baby is 1 month old to keep or let you borrow one if needed before then.
