I am trying to come up with some different baby names for a boy. I don't want the normal every day name such as Michael or Andrew. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I love the name Bennett. My daughter's name was going to be Owen Augustus, but Owen is getting pretty common now. I also love the name Arthur. :)
What is your and your husbands' heritage? You could look up heritage names. I like the name Nicholas which is our eldest. Even tho you hear it occasionally, it is not a worn out name.
Seth
Have you heard of the Baby Name Wizard? Well, this lady wrote a book called that and she has a website/blog as well. She has this cool graph thing on her site that you scroll over and it gives you a visual for how popular a name is alphabetically. When I was pregnant with my 3rd, we had NO names and I was totally stuck. I emailed her and told her what my other children's names are (Bronwyn, girl; Boaz, boy) and what I was looking for in a name (preferably one that did NOT start with a B).
To my surprise, she emailed me back within a few days and had a list of about 10 boy and 10 girl names (we don't find out what the sex is). Now, we didn't end up going with any of the names she suggested, and some of them were pretty "out there" (Cadagon comes to mind), but it was helpful none the less.
Hope that helps! And FYI, the name boy name we had picked out was Axel Griffin...turned out we had a Holland Hazel instead (even if she didn't actually have a name for 36 hours)!
I generally hate, hate, hate made-up names, and I much prefer traditional names (like Michael and Andrew), but for some reason, when I read your question, I instantly combined your and your husband's names and came up with "Jance." :)
That's so funny (just read prior post), "Jance" is what popped into my head first too!
By the way I have 2 boys, Payton and Preston.
jake,jakub,jereme,jerry,josiah
These are the ones I like: Sawyer, Tucker (my son's name), Hudson (the one I plan to use next), Coit, Chance, Eli, Tanner, Noah, Gage, Wyatt, Rhett, Quade (Quaid), Hagan, Hayden.

I named my little boy,who is 4,Lane. After a childhood friend. I just always loved it and he was the only Lane in our school. Now,it has gained some popularity though. Been noticing it now, spelled Layne.
also like my nephews name,Paden. Congrats on the new baby.
Here are some names that my friends and i all named our boys. we were pregnant all in the same year, all with boys.
mine: Dominic Alexander
friends 1: Lyric Cruz
friend 2: Chance
friend 3: Dramon Jake
friend 4: Aiden Ryhme
friend 5: Jeb Cole
I wanted something a little different for our kids too. My name is Jennifer and my husband is Michael. Two very common names for our age. So we came up with Maddox and Jordan. Jordan wasn't as common then as it is now. It seems like there are tons of Jordans now but you don't hear about many Maddox's! :) Good luck.
As a teacher, I can give you names I would absolutely NOT name a boy, but also it makes it hard when you have your own kids. I named my boy Rylan. Never ever had a Rylan in my class. Here are other names that I have liked:
Niko
Jackson
Keagan
Cason
-Colten
-Kade
-Cord
-Rylan
-Kyan (ka-I-an)
-Kie (ka-I)
-Rankin (I personally don't like the sound of it but have heard a kid in my son's pre-k named this)
-Royse
-Colter
-Phoenix
-Levi
-Langston
-Langdon
-Logan
-Aiden
-Conner
-Tyler
-Dallas
Hope this helps or gets your mind flowwing. Go sit at a book store on the baby name isle and just look through till you find something. Also watch tv for inspiration. My daughter is Shelby M'Lynn (daughter and mother's name from Steel Magnolia's). My next daughter (if we have one) will be Loralei that I saw on a show called Gilmore Girls. And our son is named John Austin and goes by Austin. His name Austin came from the city because my hubby loves the Longhorns. Think of things you like and try and find a name from it.
And let us know what you choose! I like to hear what people are naming their kids!
Landon
Peyton
Paxton
Kolten
Jayden
Caden
Beckett
Hi
I have 3 boys and their names are Micah, Landon and Nicholas. I have combined both the traditional and new names. The amazing thing is that each name fits their personality. Just remember whatever name you name your son, let be one that no one can make fun of.
