Would love to get organized this Fall and do better meal planning so I don't have to grocery shop so often, waste so much food or cook every night. Looking for good ideas to cook once and eat all week, use up what we already have on hand and shop the grocery store sales with family friendly meals!
There is a website called Food on the Table. I have been using it for a few months and really like it. It looks like you can still sign up for free on the site. Once you log in, you pick what grocery store you shop at. The big chains usually come up. Then you go through the process of picking out meals. I really like how they come up with recipes, which the meats/groceries are on sale. Once you pick out the recipes, it compiles a grocery list. You can also type in your favorite recipes as well. The reviews help too!
I love the iPad ap menu planner. It’s been a life saver. It lets you import recipes, and it has a calendar you can copy or move recipes with, plus a shopping list and pantry list.
I downloaded a free app a few weeks ago. Search “All Recipes”. They have a “dinner spinner” which basically has a lot of their website’s recipes in your hand. You can pick what meal it is for (appetizers, lunch, salad etc) and then pick a main ingredient (fish, pasta, chicken etc), and then pick a cook time (20min, crock pot, 10 min or less, etc).
If you are looking at cooking once and having meals for all week look at OnceAMonthMom.com. I have been doing this for a few weeks now and I am finding some great recipes. She also has Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and more healthy meals as well as more traditional ones
Makedinnereasy.com has a menu, recipes and a shopping list! She emails it every friday. I also have a word doc that had once a month recipes. If you message me your email, I’ll send it to you. I did this once and need to do it again. I think it took an hourand half and and I got 8 or more freezer meals. You can also google “once month cooking”.
