Best Christmas lights for outdoor?

I am looking for some outdoor Christmas lights to put on our house. I do not particularly like the look of the LED lights... but do like how energy efficient they are. Any suggestions on the lights you like best?? It is so hard to tell what they will look like on a house (and at night), while you are staring at a box on a shelf at the store :) Oh, and I prefer one color (maybe white) instead of multi-colored lights, or ones that blink. I prefer the pretty "traditional" lights look... thanks mamas!!!

To me the LEDs don't look much different than the old-style lights, once they are on your house, and they are WAY more efficient. We opted to just decorate a large wreath and hang it on the front of the house this year, instead of stringing lights all along the house. We bought two 100-light strings of LED lights for the wreath. My husband, penny-pincher extraordinaire, read the lights package and determined that it will cost us approximately 17 cents per month to leave the lights plugged in all the time. In the past when we have strung the old style lights on the house and turned them on for a few hours each night if we were home, it raised the electric bill by about $30. For that reason, we like the LEDs better. Plus, they last longer.

I agree it took me a bit to adjust to the LEDs as well, but I'm with you and Kris about the efficiency! I was going to suggest going to Target, I was just there the other day and they had a display of lights set up and turned on so you could see what they really looked like. We also have a set of Target brand bulbs for our tree (not LED) that are indoor/outdoor that are really nice. They are just big globe shapes and they come in both multi strands and just white, so you might check those out too for a more traditional look. They also have big web designs that will spread out over your bushes, etc. that give off a nice look without a ton of effort.
