Do any of you know of a good baby lotion for my 14 month old? She has very sensitive, but dry skin. Something without any perfumes in it. I typically use Johnson's Baby lotion in the pink bottle, but that just doesn't seem to cut it.
It is not baby lotion but I use it for my daughter she has the same kind of skin...Eucerin Cream. It is a little expensive but Walmart has there own brand that is cheaper and works just as well...
Try Arbonne baby lotion or Avenno baby lotion Both are very good on sensitive skin. The Arbonne is all natural which is nice but expensive. Avenno works very well also. Good luck

Jennifer:
Hi. When my children have dry skin I use Johnson & Johnson with lavender (night time) and Aveeno. Aveeno has been around for years and years. You can get Aveeno Baby with sensitive skin. Aveeno is also made by Johnson & Johnson. I use Aveeno and Johnson & Johnson for my 5 year old, 2 year old, my husband uses it, and I do as well. You can find it in the baby sections of any department store such as Walmart, Target, etc.
I hope this helps.

A very simple, natural, and healthy moisturizer for skin is coconut oil. It works great without any chemicals!
Avalon organics aloe unscented lotion works for my baby with alligator skin. No chemicals, no carcinogenic toxins. Expensive, but worth it! I tried coconut oil but it just didn't do the trick...smells good though.
My daughter has very sensitive skin and I use aveeno baby on her or even reg aveeno is fine. That stuff is great! I love johnson and johnson abby product like the pink lotion and bedtime stuff but they are not good for sensitive skin. I myself use aveeno too! Its kinda pricey but good.
My oldest had horrible eczema when she was a baby. I tried just about everything, but what I found that worked the best for her is called Renew. It is manufactured by Melaleuca, Inc. and you have to be a member to buy it, but it is well worth it. If you find some other things they make that you would like to use and agree to buy from them every month, you get a significant discount.
When looking for something that will heal dry skin, you want to make sure you are using a humectant that attracts and holds moisture to the skin. Honey and glycerine are both natural humectants. To keep that moisture from evaporating, an oil is useful. Oils on their own, do not moisturize because, even though they are liquids, they do not have any water (moisture) in them. Coconut oil might help to hold existing moisture in, but it won't moisturize the skin without help.
A doctor recommended Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream when my kids were tiny and had dry skin. We've used it for years. It's fragrance free, non-comedogenic and for dry, sensitive skin. It works wonders! Make sure you get the CREAM, not the lotion.
Hi Jennifer, my 8 month old is the same way. I use Aveeno fragrance free soothing relief moisture cream. She had very dry skin, nothing else would work, but now the dry skin is completely gone. I also use the aveeno wash. Good luck!
I use Eucerin. It comes in a tub and it is dermatologist recommended. It's very thick. I put it on my daughter right after her bath when her skin is still damp and it keeps her skin so soft! She used to have really dry, sensitive skin but not since I have been using this. The pink stuff is no good for anything but that good baby smell :)
My peidtrician told me never to use Johnson's baby lotion for dry skin. My son has the same problem and she recomended Cethaphyl lotion. I found it at walmart and I've seen it around at a lot of other stores. Since I have started using it on my son he has had the softest skin. I have not had a problem with dry skin at all. Good luck!
My son had the same problem and our derm recommended vanicream's free and clear lotion or cream in the pump bottle. You can get it at some derm's office or at the apothocary shop pharmacy. You can also try burt's bee's buttermilk lotion- that seems to work for us. Good luck.
My daughter has very sensitive and dry skin as well and I have been using Gold Bond Ultimate lotion on her for the past year and a half - it's great. Everyone in the family uses it as well. It does have a light scent but, it's delicate enough of a lotion I use it on my daughter's face too.

Hi Jennifer. I use Cetaphil. I works awesome. It's a little expensive but its definately worth it. I thinks its like $9. You can get it at walmart or target basically anywhere. Hope this helps
My son has fair skin and our pediatrian told us to use something like Dove or cetaphil to wash him. We then use Curel for his lotion, or Lubriderm. We were told that the baby lotions actually dry out his skin faster.
You can also use the store brand of their "cetaphil". It is so much cheaper.
Baby Aquaphore or Baby Aveno. My daughter has eczema and they both work great. Good luck :)
I had the same problem with my little boy, I use Aveeno. It is fantastic!!
