Let me give you a little history first. My first husband is in the Military service. Very weird since him and I have been divorces for a l5 or so years. We have not always had the best relationship since we have been divorce, however, we were really young when we got married had a child together. Getting to the point that now we are back in eachothers lifes again and wow... things have turned out pretty good. we have keeped in great contact since his first deployment to Iraq(that was 2 years ago) now it is time for him to go again to Afganastan(in Feb or so) however, my questions that since we are not married it is really hard to get any of his benifits for discounts. So I need all the help I can get... does anyone have any idea how to look for a cheap airline ticket and/or hotel room or have any one in the industry that is willing to help me? Oak Grove, KY is where I have to be around Feb 5 -10 (waiting on confirmation) for the hotel and airline i only need one way there, since I will be driving his truck back to Texas. Any informations will help or any military wife that know the things I need to do, this is all really new to me. But up for the challenge this go around. Thanks in advance for all your help.
If your husband is part of military, he should be a member of usaa. He can sign you and your kids on to receive all sorts of discounts. Once a usaa member always a member. Whether things work out with him or not you can retain that membership for you and your children. Usaa.com
Your child by him should be able to get a military id card for a dependent. At least I was able to when I was younger. Then the child can access certain benefits on your behalf.
