Baby Is Miserable and So Am I

Ugh. I'm at my wits end. My 12 week old just seems so unhappy pretty much 90% of the time. I don't know what to do anymore. I thought after 12 weeks it was supposed to get better? He wakes up he's crying because he's hungry and wet. He's in his bouncy he's crying for a pacifier. After about an hour or so in his car seat he screams to be let out making any trip to the store or out in general stressful for me and no fun for him. He seems to fuss all day long and is only happy when he's nursing which he eats every 3 -4 hours but likes to take...

Overly Needy Infant?

I have a beautiful 4-month old boy and while he is relatively easy to soothe and calm down, he becomes intolerably fussy within 2 minutes of being put down anywhere. I end up playing with him or holding him the entire day which I know they need a lot of at this age, but makes it impossible for me to get dressed or cook a meal without listening to a screaming fit. I hear different things: 1) let him cry it's good for him but only for 15 minutes at a time or 2) don't let them cry, they perceive this as abandonment and retain subconscious...

Entertaining a 3-Month Old?

I have just recently begun staying home with my beautiful 3-month old daughter. She is amazingly alert and doesn't take very long naps during the day (maybe 30-45 minutes). I am a scientist at heart and not very creative. I had no idea how much free time I would have with her...trying to entertain her!!! Please help me. What advice can you give? I run out of ideas very quickly. I don't like leaving her for long periods in the swing/bouncer seat etc...(not that she likes to stay in them long either). I like to save those for when I really...

Tummy Time Fun

Does anyone have any suggestion to make tummy time more fun for my 3-1/2-month-old. At first he enjoyed it a little & he was rolling over. Now, he'll only play on his tummy for a few minutes before he starts whining and crying. The back of his head is getting slightly flat from sleeping on his back, playing on his back, rocking in his swing, and hanging out in his rocker. I want to prevent the flat head syndrome by giving him more tummy time, but he just isn't enjoying it. I have even bought a little tummy pillow for him to prop himself...
