Would You Hold Your Kid Back a Year in School to Be with His Friends?
If your son did well in school but most of his friends were a year younger, would you hold him back to be with his friends even if his teacher and the school officials say it's a bad idea? I have two friends who are having their sons repeat fifth grade for this reason. Both boys are doing well with the curriculum, but the moms not only want them to be with friends, but they also feel the boys are not ready for middle school despite what the school officials say.
