School Notes for Special Needs Kiddo!

Hi Ladies! Ok this is only the second day of school but, I'm not sure what to do. My son is in Special Education and he is non verbal. The notes we get from the teacher are appreciated but, so far she uses the smilie face, strait face and frownie face method. While I understand this is much easier...it's not very informative. Today my son got a frownie face in art for refusing to work. Am I out of line in wanting more information? I don't want to be overactive but I also don't want to be underinformed! Agh!! What to do?

Best Baby Shower Gift You Received

I am invited to a baby shower for a woman who's first child goes to school and after-school care with my own children. Her first son is six and she is pregnant again with another boy. I've been to their house a couple of times and they seem to be the type that could go out and buy anything they wanted or needed at anytime - where as we're living paycheck to paycheck and still trying to make ends meet. So my question is, what can I buy her or make for her that wouldn't look too cheap and would be something that she would want to brag...

What's a Good Career for an Educated, Experienced Mom Whose Priority Is Family?

Hello Ladies, I'm a SAHM of two great little guys, ages 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to work. The thing is since I now have two kids, they are my priority. My question is, what do you do for work? Is it flexible for a family life and still fulfilling? Do you like it and why?
