CPS Student Dies from Peanut Exposure
As a mom of a very peanut/nut allergy child, I am traumatized by the news story of the thirteen year old girl that died at her CPS school from peanut exposure. My son has this life-threatening allergy, and it has been horrible dealing with this over the years. He literally doesn't get invited to kids birthday parties because of this. He can't eat any cake since no bakery in Chicago can guarantee a cake that hasn't touched nuts. At least half of the restaurants in Chicago are off limits because either people don't understand this...
