I'm about a week past due for a pedicure....my dog has let me know because he's using my feet to scratch his back...

They aren't that rough...really...but we are for Ning it hilarious that he wants to use my feet.

How often do you get a pedicure?

What can I do next?

I've never had a pedicure - I do my own.
When I can't stand how my feet feel I'll soak them in Epsom salts then scrub off the dead skin with a pumice stone.
A few times a year I'll use a foot peel.
Not every brand is great but I've had very good results with this:

You wear the little booties for a few hours then rinse your feet off.
In a week or so the dead skin starts sloughing off like shedding snake skin (this part can look a little gross but it's painless and effortless).
It helps if you soak and scrub but it comes off so easily and my feet are very soft and smooth afterward.

i am due for one also. I know I'm due when my heels snag the carpet. How bad is that?

The women in my family all get cracked heels. Men - beautiful soft feet. It doesn't make sense. They also got the lashes.

I typically go once a year at start of summer because my family calls my feet hobbit feet.

But I haven't this year because funds were a bit tight, and I like to have them done at spa as a treat to myself - I get that wax thing done where they put bags of hot wax on your feet. They also use this tool (electric) to whirl away the layers of tough skin.

I paint my toenails regularly.

Honestly, I have never had a pedicure. I've only had one manicure my whole life when I was in my brother's wedding and the bridal party all went to get our nails done. I didn't stay to get a pedicure like some of the others.
I clip my toe nails when they get long. I wash my feet in the shower. Very rarely I'll paint my toe nails for fun but I don't wear anything that's open toed or flip flops so no one sees them. My feet aren't bad actually, no rough patches or anything.
I really hated having the manicure, I am glad I skipped the pedicure. I'm just not one to really like having people touching me like that. Same reason I don't get or want massages. Just not something I am comfortable with.

I dislike pedicures because they hurt. I have bad bones, ankles and it just hurts more than the after effect that I love. I do force myself to do it with my daughter about quarterly.

I do have a foot spa at home that I use a lot with foot salts for my bad feet. It was well worth the $$ because I use it a lot!

Now my nails are natural and growing beautifully right now so I've been going for a manicure about every other week to maintain my nails.

I do my hair ( color, condition, cut, dry) about every 8-12 weeks. Sooner if I'm doing something special.

I'm pretty low maintainence. I still have $250 left from Red Door Spa gift card of $500 that my husband gave me in 2014... Gees. A massage would be nice about now!! I need to use this because I desperately need it right now.

My toy poodle goes to the doggy spa more often than I go to the spa!!!

I like your humor. I do my own pedicure, if it can be called that. I know when to cut my nails when they bump against the toe of my shoe.or when I have a hole in my sock. I cut my nails, perhaps 2x a month.

Never. It's strange to me. I do the basics myself, and I'm not much of a nail polish person. I grew up a tomboy, and although I sometimes like to be pampered, I don't feel comfortable having manicures/pedicures. To me it's the equivalent of going to the dentist to have my teeth brushed..they do fine, but really I'd rather just do it myself, lol.

Never. Well, almost never. When 8 and 9 months pregnant and unable to reach my feet for any length of time, I got pedicures. Didn't want to show up in the delivery room with poorly groomed feet! Another time, on vacation in Punta Cana at a beautiful resort, I went with my friend and her daughters and had a pedicure. This was a real departure from the norm for me.

Most of the time, I'm just too leery about the sanitation of the foot baths and implements---even in the finest salons. Remember when Paula Abdul almost lost a finger or thumb from something she picked up at a salon during a manicure? So, I just do it myself. I have a special scrub, tools, lotions, booties, and always have polish on my toenails basically from end of March until late October, early November when the sandals and flip flops get replaced by fall boots.

I hate wasting time in salons and already have to book time for haircut, lowlights, or highlights, depending, and keratin treatments, so I'm glad I can do the pedicure thing for myself. I have waxing done on my arms in the spring and summer months; although the hair is so light it's almost invisible, there's a lot of it!

I had a professional pedicure once and didn't like it at all! I guess my feet are more sensitive than I realized and having someone else hold and move them caused my bones to ache! Thanks goodness I can still reach my toes and trim and paint them as I wish! They seem to stay soft just by soaking them in epsom salts and water and then sobbing cream on them.

I get a pedicure (at a salon or spa) once a year (usually at the beginning of summer), twice a year if I am feeling decadent. The rest of the year I do it myself, as needed. I only get a manicure for special occasions. I get my hair cut twice or three times a year, highlights once a year. I get waxed once a year at the start of summer, then I use an epilator for the rest of the season, and tend to go a bit "W." for the winter. I consider myself pretty low maintenance, but well groomed, if that makes sense? And very frugal.

ETA: I go for a massage every second month, but they are covered by my health care plan.

Actual pedicure? Never.
I just clip my toenails when they grow past the tips of my toes.
