Year-round Swimming

My 5 year-old daughter simply loves to swim, and we are looking for September-May lessons that will continue working on her endurance and stroke development. I am thinking of something in McKinney, Allen, or Frisco once per week in the evening. We don't want anything competitive or high-stress, but we want her to continue learning and getting some great exercise at the same time. Any ideas or help would be fantastic. *Edited for further detail* Thanks to everyone for all the advice so far. I would love to hear about your experiences with these places so I can make the best decision for my daughter. Also, I need a place that bends on age; most upper level swim classes are for age 6 and up and won't allow her to enroll.

What can I do next?

I don't know what classes will be offered for children in the fall, but check out the Frisco Athletic Center. They have a wonderful indoor pool that is open year-round. Good luck!

McKinney offers year-round swimming lessons through their parks & recreation department, and they are very affordable. My daughter took them for a couple of years . . . completely non-competitive and non-stress, and the classes are fairly small. You can find more info at www.mckinneytexas.org, then click on Cultural & Recreational Services, then Parks & Recreation, then Parks & Rec Guide. I think the Summer guide is still posted; not sure when they'll publish the Fall guide but you can probably call.

We go to Emler which is actually in Plano but they are planning on opening in Frisco...not sure when.

My son has been there since he was a baby and it has been great. They are on Park and Ohio.

If you have specific questions please feel free to e-mail me. We live in the very North part of Plano but it is worth the drive for us.
