So I'm 38wks pregnant..today I was walking out of my apt building and decided it was SMART to PUSH the door with my foot *i had bags in my hands*

So being miss smarty pants I pretty much doubled over in pain after doing so. I think I tore my vag haha
So now I can barely walk and keep getting teary-eyed because of the pain down there.
Anyone ever do something THIS smart haha
I'm not bleeding or anything..just feels like I ripped my lady bits or something in my pelvis....

Thoughts? Should I bother calling my dr?

What can I do next?

I strained a uterine ligament when pregnant and it hurt so bad I was nauseous. Going to a chiropractor helped will all my pregnancy aches and pains, including ligament issues.

I hope you feel better soon!

P.S. When in doubt always call the doc, but it is pretty easy to throw things out of alignment when pregnant since your ligaments get all loosey-goosey.

call the doc, just in case. BUT i have nasty round ligament pain that keeps me doubled over a lot of the time, and wakes me at night screaming in pain if i roll over in my sleep. they keep saying it's normal but it sure does hurt a LOT. So while you most likely are just sore and don't have anything to worry about, i'd call just in case.

and i think i got your stupid mistake beat, was cleaning the fish tank while pregnant with number 3, forgot to unplug the light, and electrocuted myself. Talk about DUMB.

I think if you're in that much pain (you say "can barely walk and keep getting teary-eyed b/c of the pain) I would call & speak to the nurse at least. better safe than sorry. Hope you're better (and delivered!) soon!

Call your Doc. There are tendons and ligaments you can sprain/strain in your groin. A lot of people think its no biggie, but its extremely painful, could develop into a tear, and you might require bed rest for awhile. I used to work in physical therapy and worked on atleast a patient a month with a groin injury. Call. Good Luck!

Sounds painful - I would call the doctor just to make sure everything is all right. Any change in health I reported when pregnant, just because I wanted my baby to be safe.

Because of all the hormones that are getting your body ready fot labor your joints and ligaments are very lose right now. With no bleeding I am going to guess that you did the same thing I did during this last pregnancy and, tuo put it in laymens terms, pulled a pussy muscle. I pulled mine sitting cross legged on the floor so it really is easy to do. You have muscles that go from your inner thigh up into your pelvis and they can get pulled or strained.
Yes call your Dr. But know that there is nothing they can do to help. Lol I'm sorry but I hope you feel better soon.

I actually have pulled muscles down there in a similar circumstance, also while preg. It HURTS!! Do call your doc since you're so close to delivery.

LMAO! Sorry, your description was awesome!

At 38 weeks everything is about as stretched to the max as it can get so even a tiny little nothing will pull a muscle, ligament, tendon etc... If there's no bleeding & you feel your baby moving fine & stuff I wouldn't worry. Ice it. If it bothers you excessivley, it never hurts to give the doc a call.
