Where to Go for First Haircut?

I took my kids to Kids Kuts in Encinitas. they have toys and a fun car chair to sit in. They saved a lock of hair for me. The kids always enjoy going there for haircuts.

I like Kids Kuts in Escondido by Target, Mervyn's and Toys R Us. (Link to info below.) We usually get helped faster without an appointment... They have toys and a lollipop and a kids movie playing, and they always do a better job on my son than the Haircut Store or somewhere like that. They are really patient and good at talking to the kids.

We have had a terrible time trying to find a place for my 3 yro son to get his haircut. We finally found Sportz Cuts in Escondido. He loves it and now asks to get his haircut ONLY there.

I've been taking my son (2 years) to Cuts for Little People. It is in Oceanside in the Target shopping center off of El Camino and Vista Way. It is one man that does all of the cuts. He is very nice and has a way with the kids that somehow puts them at ease. He also gives them dum dums which really seems to help! They just suck on their suckers and let him do what he needs to do. My son sat by himself for the first time during his last haircut and didn't make a peep! This coming from a kid who used to scream constantly during his haircuts! (Before going to this place.) He charges $15. He has toys for the kids but they aren't very sanitary so you either have to keep your child away from them or suck it up and clean, clean & sanitize your child's hands when you get in your car! That's what I do. I mean how do you keep a child away from toys! I've been VERY happy taking my son to this place. The guy is so quick too! We are always in and out in about 15 minutes. You don't even have to make an appointment and even if you have to wait it usually is only about 10-15 minutes. Try him out. I highly recommend him!

Kids Kuts in the target shopping center is the best place hands down. They are so good and patient with the kids.

I just took my son in for his first haircut last week. We went to Kids Kuts in Encinitas. They are kid specific so my son was easily entertained while the hairdresser did her thing. She was very fast and the cut is soooo cute:)
It's a little pricey ($17) but I figured it was worth it for the first time. They also save a lock of hair in a little clear bag that goes onto a card that says, My first hair cut, their name and the date.

They take a picture and I have heard are GREAT!! In Rancho Bernardo and my friends rave about it. Going to do my little guy's first haircut soon too! :)
