Moreover, you don't say why you would travel to any of the boroughs or out to LI for a simple, basic haircut that any salon can do. Are there special circumstances that would make it important for you to incur all kinds of transportation expense for a haircut for a 7 year old? I think you would do better to ask your neighbors or the parents of her school friends. You could also contact a local hairdressing school to see if they are looking for kids (and adults) for their students to practice on. That sometimes results in a much less expensive haircut, although that probably isn't important to you if you are willing to spend a lot of gas or public transportation to travel several hours away.

Go where ever you want, any neighborhood salon or discount hair cutting place (Great Clips, Supercuts, etc.) can do a basic bob.
