A.G.
I've been coloring my hair since I was about 20, and started finding gray hairs when I was in my mid to late 20s. I have quite a bit of gray (maybe 25%) now at the age of 41, but no one will ever see it. :)
I have a 37 yo friend who went completely grey 5 yrs ago! She has 4 kids...not sure if that has anything to do with it :)

I have an Aunt that went white at 19. Never colored it.
I have a friend that went grey at 28. Doesn't color it.
I just had to start last month at 37. Hubby sent me.
I started coloring my hair long ago and my plan is to never know if I have gray hair or not:) I go light in the summer and dark for the winter! It's fun:)
My mom was turning gray in her 20's and started coloring her hair.
I am more like my dad's side of the family with heavy Native American features. My dad is 70 and he has veryy little gray. I have a strand here and there but not enough that I would color my hair.
My daughter is 16 with hair similar to mine and she colors hers as well. Color is just a fun thing right now for us... not a maintainence issue for gray.
HOWEVER, I have the Native American stick straight dark hair and I love my straight hair and I choose to wear it one length because it looks great on me and I can. SO, I have played with color to change things up with my hair. I might go a little lighter in summer, darker in winter, etc.
I just got the new CHI Enviro treatment last week and LOVE it. It is kindof like the Brazilian Blowout but all organic and my hair is super soft and highly conditioned right now. I believe in keeping it conditioned well... the color will damage it if you do it too much.
At age 16. Just in fact colored it lastnight. I have so many now it's crazy and I am only 37.
I started coloring my hair when it started going grey. I think I was in my 30's.
I was 23 when I started covering grey . Thanks to my Italian mother :)
16. My dads side of the family is notorious for gray hair early... I am 32 and I am allmost sure that if I didnt color my hair it would be grey & white
I had grey hairs start coming in when I was in my early 30s and started getting highlights to cover them up and blend them in. I then transitioned to color and now am in my mid 40s and have to color once a month. I think I would be totally grey if I wasn't coloring, but who knows?
Turned 41 and bam, my red hair no longer concealed the gray. Too much. Something about this year for me ... also need bifocals now, too. So, I just started getting it colored this year.
I'm 50, but naturally blonde...so just last year, I started having both low lights and high lights added to break it all up..but it still grows in grey.
I started at about 40.
But it was frying my hair big time, so a few years later I began to henna my hair and I've been very happy with it.
My hair's gone white in front of my ears and around my face.
When I henna the white turns to a nice copper and the rest is a chestnut auburn.
Well, I have been coloring my hair since I was 13. Not because of grey hair obviously. So, just a couple months ago I noticed I had 1 grey hair. I still color my hair but it's been a while and needed to be done again. I am 31 and I pulled that 1 grey hair out so I guess for now I still color it just because I want to , not for grey, lol!
I started coloring my hair around age 28-29... My Mom started coloring her hair at age 25, so I knew it was coming.
I don't remember when I started turning gray, but my kids helped.
Last year I began dying my hair white. (see my profile picture) I'm going to get it dyed white again in a couple of weeks.
;~))
Good luck to you and yours.
I started finding grays in my early twenties. They finally became noticeable enough to me to start coloring this year, I am 32. I found a great colorist and for now I only go to her every 3 months because she puts 3 different colors in my hair to help camouflage the grays when they start to come back. I'm sure I'll be in every 6 weeks when I go completely gray which should start to happen within the next 5 years if I am the same as my parents.
I'm 41 and just started to see a tiny bit of gray around my face. :(
I started finding grey hairs at 40. I've been coloring my hair for years, so it wasn't the color that I noticed, but the wirey texture. Can you tell me what to do about that? I hate it!
I got my first grey hair when I was pregnant with my third though I think that had more to do with being 31 than being pregnant.
I didn't start dying my hair until I was 38 except for an occasional playing with my color.
My now 21 year old got her first grey hair when she was 14 and thought it was soooo cool. It never spread beyond a couple more but she doesn't think it is cool anymore.
My hair started greying a little bit in my late teens and did even more after my pregnancy. The hair color or highlights fry my already frizzy curly hair so I do henna once in a couple months when the greys really start showing. I don't do any touch ups in between, my hair usually is a varying mix of black, henna brown and grey :).. I don't mind it. Guess I am just too careless!
I started getting grays at about age 19 or 20. When I got pregnant with my 3rd child, at age 26, they started to really come in. I am 30 and have to color every 3 weeks because the grays are so noticeable. It must be a family thing because most of my cousins who are age 25-35 are COMPLETELY gray. We all have dark hair (minus the gray, of course!) and are of Italian ancestry.
I was 30,..... UGH grey hairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm 46 and have a few grays. Not coloring them. My sister started coloring at about 30 - she has one big stripe of white that just appeared one day and she hates it.
I'm 30 and the grey hairs are not noticeable yet. But I definitely wouldn't go completely grey at 37, seems too young to do so.
I'm 47...and still waiting for the gray. My older siblings don't have much gray yet.
My mom is 75, hardly any gray and I remember my grandmother being the same way...
