"horrible pains".......... make no assumptions about what it is and check it out with your doctor. cramping pains can be many things other than pregnancy. best to get it checked out.
Im so confussed as to what the issue with my body is. I know that pregnancy can do crazy things to our bodies but this is just weird. I should clarify that I am not pregnant but I am assuming that whatever is happening is due to pregnancy. Okay so here is the story. I have a 16 month old daughter and I breastfed her until she was 13 months old. I went off the pill early November and completely stopped BF late January. I got my first period exactly one month later (late Feb) and it seemed normal for not having a period for 23 months straight. Then I got my next period on Mar 22nd and this one was very heavy with really painful cramps but it still only lasted a full 6 days and then completely gone. Now here is my issue. My husband and I have been TTC since Nov and we had sex on the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9th of April. I expected my period on the 22nd of April as this would have been consistent with the last two. Since the 20th of April, starting in the morning I have had really bad cramps and horrible back pain. So this is day four of this and it literally is constant pain. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests each morning of the 22nd, 23rd and this morning I took a first response and all are negative. I know that it is still early but I would have thought that if any test was going to show a positive it would have been this morning. Obviously I want to see a positive but if it doesnt happen we will just try again next month. But now that I have 3 negative tests why am I getting these horrible pains with no period? My boobs dont hurt and I guess I am a bit more tired than usual but my period always did this to me before. With my last pregnancy I experienced slight PMS symptoms before I got a positive but nothing like this.
Please, any advice would be helpful
Thank you in advance

Sometimes back pain can be a sign of a kidney infection. Please go to the doctor.
Go to your doctor. Horrible pains are not normal (unless they are typical of severe PMS) and should be looked at for kidney and other issues.
It often takes up to 6 months after the return of your period for it to get really normalized. It's definitely possible to get pregnant during that time, since you're still ovulating, but just be aware that your period may come late or early, even if you were regular before, and that can be a normal part of your body getting back to normal.
