I just got two emails from Mamapedia. One saying welcome to Mamapedia, I have been a member forever or so. The other was saying they got my report that the site was running slow today. I reported no such thing, I run ad blocker the site doesn't slow down for me.
So did anyone else get strange emails or am I just lucky?

Just google ad blocker and it will come up with a link for every platform. It just blocks those ads that make everything run slow.
I got them too. Without contacting anyone about anything.

I got the one about my report on slow servers.
Since they removed that thread, I'm guessing the new MP monitors understood that all who commented should get an email about our "reporting".
Weird. I had a time with it yesterday --it was taking FOREVER to load anything. ONLY this site, nowhere else I went. I didn't bother reporting it though.

I don't know!! I got two e-mails thanking me for reporting something!! I sent them back and said - excuse me? I've not been on this morning...they sent me an e-mail back and saying "I'm sorry - I don't show you have reported anything. I don't know why you received this e-mail. We will check our system to see what's wrong."
HUH?! Okay - whatever!!! This has happened before - not a welcome e-mail - but thanks for reporting. I'm glad I ask - what did I report?

its been acting wacky for me all week. I have not gotten those emails. However it will not keep me signed it, if I click on my own questions it spits me out on someone elses, and its showing my signup name rather than my nickname every so often. So much for privacy on this site.
I think it is bogus SPAM.
The reins on this site is not too secure.
And I "think" they sell the e-mail addresses to companies.
Some sites, do that.

I reported that it was running slow, but I didn't get any emails. Hmm... At least it looks like they fixed it.

I got one too - I assumed it was from responding to the earlier post about the board being slow. You probably got it because you chimed in on that thread.
I thought it had to do with this morning's thread about MP being so slow, and I got the two emails you got. I HOPE they aren't spam - I clicked on the one welcoming me and they want to know if something is wrong with my coupons - har har! I have no coupons.
I wish they'd ask me if I am having trouble getting their emails - I would have said YES except for these two! I'd like to receive their regular emails again like I did for years - they just went away a couple of months ago!
