Soon to be foster mom here. I'm looking for a great stroller that will work well for kids ages 0-3. I'd rather not suffer buyers remorse, so I thought I'd ask you mamas....;). Honestly I love the look of the pricey strollers, and the bassinet feature that comes with most of them, but I also know the travel systems like the Chico, have better things like cup holders and such. Is the bassinet feature worth the price tag? Are the pricey features worth the money?! help!!!My question is, what works best for you? Did you have any that were horrible? Help me out! :)

What can I do next?

Will you be having more than 1 little one at a time? If so, then get a double with a jump seat, NOW. You save a small fortune over the long run.

I bought a Phil and Ted with a jump seat when I had my first. When I had my second 21 months later, I was thrilled. Three years later, I need to buy a new safety bar for it, but it will still be my GO TO stroller when I have my third. It was worth every single penny. This thing has held up like you wouldn't believe, for it's first three years, it went on 3 mile walks almost every day.

The front seat collapses into a bassinet, and then you can put the jump seat on the front. When the baby can sit up, then you put the baby in the jump on the back of the stroller. It's all terrain, works great in the snow, etc.

It was the smartest buy I made out of all of my "baby stuff."

Absolutely depends on how many kids you want to use it for...over the years and at the same time...and what activities you want to do with it. Love my cheap-o $20 umbrella stroller with no features and also love my BOB Revolution Duallie. The strollers are night and day from each other though. :)

My mom gave me a book called "Baby Bargains" as a shower gift when I was pregnant with my first. Go get this book! It reviews all the latest baby gear and gives recommendations on how to get the most bang for your buck. We kept that book and referred to it for years.

I loved my stroller. It was a travel system. Consider these features:

-collapse and store with one hand
-seat has multiple recline include full recline (to change a baby in quasi privacy)
-make sure there is a crotch harness so noone slips under the bar
-has a basket underneath - with 3 kids you are going to need that basket
-has a handle bar that is straight all the way across to clip bags on. Mine had a curve in the middle so anything I'd clip on like an organizer or tote with one of those bear claws would just bunch up in the middle. this was the only thing my stroller didn't have

Good luck as you foster those kids!

I love my Graco Metrolite. My oldest is 5.5 and I got it when he was born. I now use it daily with my 2 year old. It has a huge basket - huge - for storing stuff underneath. And, the basket is easy to access (many are large but crossbars make them hard to get to in other brands). It has two cupholders for me and a snack tray + cupholder for the kid. It comes as a travel system so the infant car seat snaps right in without needing to buy an attachment piece or anything. It reclines flat so your baby can fully lie down to sleep. It is much cheaper than the fancy strollers out there.

I honestly have no complaints about it at all. I never wished for a bassinet. I've always been happy with how it works, looks, feels, etc.

I loved our Britax Chaperone stroller/stroller system. It was durable/good quality, had a good-sized storage basket underneath, a nice tray for my daughter and a good tray for me (2 cup holders, enclosed storage compartment), it was stylish and very practical. The only downside is that it's a bit heavy & large, so it's a little harder to get it in and out of the car (which I didn't mind - more exercise for me!) and takes up a bit more car space (again, I have a Jeep, so that was not a problem). It does fold up and open easily, though. So sorry we can't use it anymore, since she's old enough to want to walk everywhere. It's still in good shape!

I think it depends what your main use will be. We had a Bob stroller and then got the double Bob with #2. It has a bar for the infant car seat so can use right away. This is great for hiking, walks, jogging etc. It's not great for traveling. I still love my Bob and use it almost daily. We bought a small double umbrella stroller for traveling. Hope that helps.

Bugaboo Frog. Definitely worth the money, loved the bassinet feature and the versatility of having baby face you while you're out walking. If you're a runner, BOB might be better for you, but no bassinet, and baby can't see you. But if you're a walker, Bugaboo is the best. I got my money's worth for sure. You can also buy cup holder attachment. I bought that, umbrella attachment, and carseat adapter, but those I didn't use so much.

I did little research when buying a single stroller first time around, I just went to Babies R Us and thought the travel systems seemed to make the most sense. We bought a Baby Trend and it worked out great, not too pricey. I still use it with my 3 year old. It has cup holders up top and a compartment for stuff like keys/phone, and cup holder/tray for baby. When they're able to sit in the seat without the car seat, the seat reclines. The stroller also has storage underneath, which is awesome for jackets and bags. IT folds up easily and you can lock the front wheel simply by pushing a button up by the handle.

The travel system is also great if you like to walk/run. I kept my son in the car seat part and jogged with him until about 5 months, at that point he could really hold his head up on his own.

I LOVE my Chicco stroller. It does not have the bassinet feature but the seat does recline flat. I used my stroller while training to walk a half marathon. I took my daughter for 4 mile walks on gravel trails 3-4 times a week. 2 years later it still works great when I occasionally put my now 5 year old in it. We have another baby on the way and although I could continue using the one I have we plan to get a new Chicco so I can get just as much use out of it, or more.

Something to consider when buying a stroller is the max weight. My SIL has an expensive one but it only goes up to about 35 lbs. My niece is tall and hit 40 lbs around age 3.

I have a very nice, expensive Pram style - I loved the bassinet when she was little baby but as she got older I didn't care for it. It's too big to get in and out of my truck, collapsing it is a nightmare as it takes 3 hands. there's no cup holder or tray for baby. This stroller is in the garage and I use for walking outside - which it's awseome for as it has huge wheels.

I went to Toys R Us and and got an $54 stoller (can't remember the brand) it nicer than an umbrella but smaller than a normal stroller - so it fits in my truck with a goalie hockey bag. It has a tray for her, storage underneath and cup holder/tray for myself. I use it A LOT!! It's so easy to get in and out of trunk. I'm an event planner and she comes with me a lot for venue walk throughs - in the stroller. I'm in and out of stores alot and the stroller is easier for me than a cart (like Kohls and the belts aren't tight enough and she escapes).
