What Kind of Socks Do You Prefer? Seriously!!

If I wear socks it's usually sports socks. I hate them tho because sometimes they decide to ride under the heel and drive me crazy.
In winter I have a slug of different colored feetless tights that I wear so my feets are still free to do with what I will. I'm an Uggs gal in winter so I dont wear socks with those either. If I need socks I do what you do and steal some out of hubs drawer. Usually calf high tube sock things. I also have a few pair of trouser socks, I like them because they are thin. I also have 2 pair of toe socks, so I can still wear flip flops if it's not wet outside. Kohls has a great selection of feetless tights and really cute knee socks.

Tehehe, it's been snowing here already and I'm still wearing flip flops. However, they are my WINTER flip flops, you know!

Sadly, when my feet are cold, which is not very often, I've taken to wearing the kids reject socks, like the ones you buy that they hate, sigh.

My daughter (14) deliberately wears VERY mismatched socks that can be seen the half inch between her skinny jeans and high top converse.

This reminds me, I not only need to buy some SOCKS, but also some PANTS that go all the way down to my shoes!

Or I could just move somewhere warm.

I prefer clean ones. I never have time to think about it beyond that.

Gap makes socks that fit really well and have a good amount of cotton to lycra mix. I hate polyester socks for everyday use.

If you want socks just for warmth at home, go with those cozy furry ones that Target carries. Super cute and cozy.

I have some OCD tendancies and sensory issues...worse as I get older! I have to have my feet covered (unless sleeping or in sandals). I finally found socks I love a few years ago. Unfortunately they are pushing $15 a pair!

SMARTWOOL. I like the "light" weight ones, and never thought I would wear somthing that is called wool (it equates to super itch to me). I usually wear the micro or mini (ankle ones) in the house or in warmer months, but need to find the right higher ones now for colder weather. They are spendy, but I have spent so much money on socks at Target and Kohls and other stores...add all that up and I could have a bunch of the socks I truely love. My feet get almost rashy feeling (not in appearance..but they feel raw and sore) if I wear socks my feet dont like. These wash in regular loads and feel good on my feet. No seam issues and they hug my narrow feet and around my scars from foot surgeries as well. I love them!!! I typically will buy 2 pair at a time..here and there all year long. Now I need some taller ones!

Socks are a luxury we all should treat ourselves with!

I HATE WEARING SOCKS!!! I like socks only around the house...Seriously if I could wear sandals all year I would.....In the meantime, I wear trouser socks...they're thin and lightweight.....and dont' get me started on pantyhose...I only wear 'em if I have to hee..hee...:)

I love the tall, smart wool socks from Bass Pro/Cabela's for under my boots - even my dressy ones - LOL!
But on a regular basis my "splurge" socks are thorlo running socks. I like the extra cushion and low cut - I have found some similar ones at Target, but they wear out more quickly and don't wick away the sweat like the others.

SMARTWOOL!

It's the only brand my hubby and I wear and we both love them. They make fun striped ones for women too. Nice and warm!!!!

I just go for the basic hanes brand from target. I get the ankle length and also the mid calf length. I don't like to wear the socks that have designs or anything on them. They are not comfortable to me

I love socks! :) My feet are always cold - anyway I like white cotton socks so my feet can breathe. Anything synthetic makes them sweat. Goldtoe are my favorites. You can find them in department stores.

If you're looking for funky socks go to littlemissmatch.com. They have the cutest mismatched socks for kids....and adults. They make me want to wear mismatched arm and leg warmers, too!

My favorite pair is a really tall pair of purple tie-dyed soccer socks (they are soft, not like regular soccer socks). I think I got them at Sports Authority.

I think they are cute--they make me feel like I am back in high school again, because I got them during my junior year when I switched from playing volleyball to soccer. They keep my calves warm.

I HATE socks. So when there is snow on the ground I'll wear trouser socks with my work shoes. I always wear just ankle high white socks with my sneakers. If I'm at home and my feet are FREEZING, I have one pair of super soft socks that I wear. I don't sleep in them, so I'll wash them before I go to bed and have them for the next day if I need them :). But I like my feet to be FREE!! LOL

For warmth--you can't beat pure wool socks. Your whole body stays warm when your feet are warm. Cotton or cotton blend socks are the worst in the winter. Wool socks can be hard to find and expensive. But O. or two pairs are SO worth it. And, no, the good ones aren't "itchy"!

Hanes Crew Socks. And since that's ALL I have I NEVER have to sort and match socks. I SWEAR that there's a special corner of HELL where bad girls go and they have to sort and match socks!

When I worked at Kindercare, in the infant room, we couldn't wear shoes. As an Assistant Director, I needed to be mobile...I loved the socks with toes in them!! I could slip my shoes on and off easily so that I could help a parent, etc.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cute and cozy socks - they are fluffy and have the "grips" at the bottom so I don't slide all over the hardwoods.

I go no-thought. I get black cotton socks, slightly over ankle length. I try to replicate the same socks over and over, so I just grab 2 and go. There's very little they don't go with, they aren't too heavy or too light.

except winter, i get RL short sneaker socks. black, white or grey. wintertime I only wear smartwool socks. because i freeze like no other.
