I never gave my kids vitamins so I don't have a suggestion. They ate well from all food groups so I never found them necessary.
I would never give my kids "gummie" vitamins or something they'd think was a candy. Vitamins are not a treat, they are like medicine and you CAN overdose and do damage - some kids will try to sneak more of them if they like them too much or think it's candy

I give my DD the Princess Gummy Vits. She loves them and thinks they are candy that she gets once a day. She is always reminding me after dinner, mommy you need to give me my candies for today. Those were the ones the pediatrician recommended.

My son hated Poly Vi Sol as well. If you want to stick with the liquid, I second what another poster put and try the Tri Vi Sol as it is fruit flavored and does not stain as bad.

My daughter used to love any type of gummy one until I accidently got one that was sour/covered with sugar. I gave those away and took her with me when I got them (she was about 2.5) and she chose the chewable flinstone ones. She still eats 1 a day, but I think they taste horrible!

Ah yes the wonderful taste of Bitter! I can't blame your little one for not liking the taste of Poly -Vi -Sol, My little man didn't like it either.

Talk to your Ped. Ours reccomended a childrens chewable with iron. We bought generics and our kid would eat them all if given the chance.

Once my son could chew I put him on the Flintstones for 2-3 year olds. They're not as strong as the other kid's vitamins out there but give a boost of Iron, Vitamin D etc. I could usually only find them at Target here in TX.

My son used to take Poly Vi Sol when he was younger.. Now my pediatrician recommended him taking something that's high in Vitamin D.. We get Gummy Bear Essentials from the health food store.. There individually wrapped (4 every morning) and come in sweet and sour form.. KNOCK ON WOOD, since he's been taking them he rarely gets sick anymore (besides the common yearly cold)... My son is 3.5

At that age you really should consult your doctor. Age 4 and above, try Koala pals!

I just got my 2 year old the Nordic Berries, they are strawberry flavor and have a little sour cover. Is not really very sour and my 2 year old love them!!
My 12 year old and I have our own vitamins each one but my teen love these ones that she is taking those too (it says for 2 year old and over).
They taste so good I have to stop my self for eating them too.
They don't contain gluten, milk, gelatin, derivatives or artificial colors or flavors.

My 2 year old gets the My First Flintstones vitamin. He likes it and knows he only gets 1 per day. We do it at breakfast. When he was younger we gave him the same vitamin you are using. We usual mixed it in with yogurt or applesauce.

You REALLY need to ask your pediatrician before starting any vitamin regimen. Their bodies can only process so many mg of certain vitamins/day, and even children's vitamins are formulated for older children vs. toddlers.

Our pediatrician has both of our kids (ages 2 and 4) on 1/2 Flintstone vitamin/day. Both of our kids are at the top of the growth charts, so it's not because they're small and have different requirements.

PLEASE be VERY cautious when selecting a vitamin. Most are NOT FDA approved - especially those you purchase via an independent vendor or over the internet. It means there's no validation of quality of ingredients, or purity. It doesn't mean they're not safe, there's just no one monitoring the products to ensure your child's safety. You can go to FDA.gov and search to see what products are regulated.

Our pediatrician recommended Tri-Vy-Sol w/o Iron (an oral multivitamin) from the time our LO was 1 month old, and he's still on it (now at 21m). There is a generic for it. Our LO takes it no problem, but it might be a different flavor (it's supposed to be fruit flavored).

If you mix it in their milk, they won't know the difference.

Be careful, most "multi-vitamins" for children are not for those under 2 years of age. After that, check with your Pediatrician as to recommended supplements.
