disney car gummie vitamins...get them at walmart,he is weird with stuff and how it tastes(picky I should say)but he really likes these I tried one and they taste close to real gummies I think.
Hi all. We have our 2.5 year old visit soon, I'd like to ask our pediatrician for his recommendations obviously...but I was hoping to go to the visit with some knowledge about what other moms are using. I've still just been using the Poly-Vi-Sol drops in his juice, I figure I can start using a chewable. The only chewable I know about is Flinstones. Thanks for any info.

We feed a balanced and varied diet and skip the vitamins (fine with our pediatrician).
Dear B. B,
First, I'm in agreement with some of the responses as there is no evidence that sythentic vitamins work.
Have you heard of JuicePlus? We are a whole food supplement and what seperates Juice Plus from literally thousounds of other nutritional products is Evidence Based Research that PROVES it works! Please check out my website for an 11 minute video ( a picture is worth a thousand words ), the peered reviewed medical studies and what experts have to say ( we are also known by the company we keep ). www.vineripejuiceplus.com
If you are open to more information please let me know .... let's talk.
P.S. If your child is between the ages of 4 -18 and an adult is adding JP+ to their diet the child can get it for free!
Best,
c.
We do Flintstones. My boys LOVE eating them.
my MIL is Mrs. Vitamin Queen. She says that those Flinstone vitamins and others of the sort are just chemicals. She sells "Metagenics" which is a 'natural' vitamin. You can google it. She sends me multi-vitamin drops for my 2.5 yr old son and I put it in his juice whenever I remember. I have no doubt they're a good product. I figure my son likes juice, so I will keep giving him vitamins in his juice until MIL buys a chewable for him.
We don't take vitamin supplements except for some vitamin C intermittently - we get a pretty good balance of healthy food into the kids. Starting this winter though, we have been giving them cod liver oil daily (it is naturally flavored, and tastes like a smoothie - lemon or mango peach). They love it, and I really think it helps them build up their immune systems for the winter. We've had many fewer colds this year than last.
If you are interested, you can google: barleans fish oil.
Just something that I think about...do with it as you please.
I have a girlfriend who has two boys, same ages as my children. (5 and 8). They have been giving their children vitamins for as long as I can remember. I have never given my kids vitamins. They "should" be getting what they need from the food that I am feeding them, right?
Her son's have had scarlet fever, 5th disease, chicken pox, the flu more times than I can count, scalded skin syndrome (all the poor boys skin sluffed off..he was in the hospital), and more!! Who gets scarlet fever?!??! My boys have never had more than a cold...maybe the pukes once or twice.
I know that she is doing the best she can with her kids and all those vitamins...but I have to wonder if they are doing any good since her kids are ALWAYS sick!
We use Koala Pals w/ Oligo. They are very high quality and highly absorbable.
we use one of the gummy vitamins, that's what our ped recommended the last time we were in. We let her pick which kind she wanted, which was toy story.
I give mine L'il Critters Gummy Vites and L'il Critters Omega-3 Gummy Fish. I only give these to my girls every other day!
I use the Poly-Vi-Sol with iron in my daughter's bottle. She is 15 months old and I think they are great, I am planning on keep on using it for a while since they are good for infants and toddlers.
L'il Critters calcium gummy bears with vitamin D. :)
