For my kids, I love Super Why? and Cat in the Hat Knows a lot about That. Even though he is whiny, I also like Calliou since it's a gentle show and his parents are really positive; same with Syd the Science Kid.
.
Charlie and Lola
Max and Ruby
Flinstones
Tom and Jerry
I always loved the Pink Panther cartoons when I was young. As an adult, I still like them (not much speaking, lol, just suspenseful fun and interesting music)... but I also discovered (via my kids) Kipper. We LOVE Kipper. And Arthur, too. One of our absolute favorites, though?
FRANKLIN. (Canadian turtle)
"Heeeeeey, it's Frank-lin. Com-in' to our house.."
I like Chip & Dale. (Disney)
and Donald duck.
I like Disney's color animated movies: Bambi, Dumbo, Cinderella, Snow White, the Sword in the Stone, And the semi animated movie "Song of the South"
Why did such a good man like Disney have to die so young and such an evil man like Fidel Castro live so long?
Good luck to you and yours.
Max and Ruby has good lessons. Love Dinosaur Train, especially the paleontologist (isn't he cute!). Super Why is great and my son really likes it - he is 5 now. He loves Cat in the Hat as well as Wild Kratts. We don't let him watch very much and I don't know what some of these are...oh, I like word world but we have outgrown it. And now, I am singing "Dinosaur train, dinosaur train...."
My personal fav is Sesame Street - I just love being on the street and that the different segments cater to different ages AND there is something there for parents too. Sesame revolutionized TV for children and has been breaking ground for 40 years! I still love Mister Rogers too - even though he has been gone a long time. I am looking forward to the new show that his foundation will be doing based on the Land of Makebeliever. Please let there be a King Friday and a Lady Elaine!!!
Well, with my kids, we loved Little Bear and Franklin.
We liked Arthur.
Wishbone was not animated, but on PBS and had a very talented dog acting out different literary characters. Pretty awesome.
My son liked Blues Clues, but his favorite was Little Bear.
One of my favorite adult cartoon indulgences is Home Movies. It used to be on Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network.
You can find clips on youtube.
I like Family Guy.
Can't stand South Park.
From my childhood:
Duck Tales
Tiny Toons
From now:
Phineas & Ferb
Penguins of Madagascar
I like them because they work on all levels--for young kids, older kids & for me :)
For educational purposes & like Syd the Science Kid & Super Why.
I used to have a crush on Steve from Blue's Clues when my little bro was little (gosh, was that 10 years ago?) I may have even been the only college girl with his poster in her dorm room.
Of my dd's shows, I like the Wonder Pets. I'm not sure why, but I do find myself singing their songs at work sometimes.
I like: Little Bear, or Tom and Jerry.
I like Little Bill too.
Looney Toones and/or Merrie Melodies -- old school stuff!
(tho there was a time .. Speed Racer...)
well i like family guy, freakin hilarious. but if we are talking about kid stuff i like curious george. Its cute, never annoying and educational and i love how the italian cook's cat is named gnocchi (like the pasta balls) he even has little lines on his back like the pasta often does. SO CUTE. definitely clever.
My kids have run the gamut of shows. Blues Clues was the first fave for both of my kids, then it was Wow Wow Wubbzy and Yo Gabba Gabba. Now they love Super Why, Team Umizoomi and Bubble Guppies. I personally, have a small crush on the blue and yellow wiggle and think Handy Manny has a nice voice. Oo La La! My single friends think I am demented. :-)
I still like to watch old school cartoons like a good episode of Tom & Jerry or Droopy! LOL
I like watching Word Girl. It's not so kid centered. I also kind of like Dinosaur Train since it is scientific. I seem to know the songs for just about all of them though!
My son (18 mo) just loves PBS and SPROUT channel.
His absolute favorite right now is Super WHY? It's a reading show, but there is just something about it that entrances him.
Has anyone else heard of this show? Or watch it too?
I enjoy his little shows, they are too cute sometimes. And others like you said are just plain weird haha. My husband and I laugh because we are always singing the songs on the shows, like Super Why and The Cat In The Hat Knows Alot About That! and Curious George.
Just yesterday, he asked me what I was singing so I sang it and laughed, and what do ya know? He's singing the same darn song lol. They are catchy sometimes. Especially the "Rainbow song"
"Red, Orange, Yellow. Then Green followed by Blue. Indigo and Violet, that's the Rainbow song for youuuu!"
I love watching Caillou, Super Why, Sid the Science Kid with my boys. They love Spongebob too.
I also like to watch Krypto the Super Dog, and the Garfield Show.
I grew up watching Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. I still love those cartoons.
Baby Looney Tunes was on for a while and I loved watching that too.
My daughter loves Super Why, Dinsoaur Train, Scooby Doo, and Dora. I personally like Olivia. We also watch Bubble Guppies. And Backyardigans has cool music for a cartoon.
I know the ones I can't stand - wow wow wubbzy in particular. When I was little kimba the White lion was my favourite, Along with wheelie and the chopper bunch. Now I like American dad and family guy.
I love anything that will capture my two year olds attention long enough so I can take a shower! right now he really loves sesame street (most of it...he doesn't like abby's flying fairy school, and Elmo is his fav) and super why, and sometimes dinosaur train. I should mention PBS is the only channel we get that has kids shows.
I like Phinias and Ferb and I like The Wot Wots.
Jacks Big Music Show is the best ever!
I DO NOT like Sponge Bob!!!!!!!!!!!
When my daughter was younger (she's 13 now) I used to LOVE to watch Maggie and the Ferocious Beast with her....oh, I just loved the episode where Hamilton got his push me popper LOL...every now and then it will show up when my boys are watching TV and I still like to stop whatever I'm doing and enjoy Maggie, Hamilton and the Beast :-) oh and I just wanted to add that when Blue's Clues did the episode where Steve left and went away to college, I cried like a baby when he got on the bus to leave LOL
My favorite cartoon is no longer on the air - Animaniacs. My daughter and I watched it together growing up, and she got most of the jokes, even though it wasn't a kiddie cartoon. I gave her a dvd of the first season last year for Yule, and when she opened it, she squealed and showed it to her fiance, telling him, "This is the best cartoon EVER!"
my kids and I like Curious George, Spongebob, Fairly oddparents,Martha Speaks,Mighty Bee,Dora, Max and Ruby, Arthur, Phineas and Ferb, Penguins of Madagascar.
I can watch spongebob anytime, as well as george. oh and i almost forgot the biggest scooby doo fan in the world is my dd lauren.
I used to love Oobi! Of course I always like Sesame Street, and I'm impressed with how they are keeping their little skits current. Like spoofs on American Idol and Law and Order, very funny!
