I'm trying to fit a workout into my life. I can't afford a gym memberhship right now. I've told myself several times that I need to do it in the morning before the kids get up, but I guess I'm just not a morning person. Anyway, I'm more interested in what you all do for exercise...looking for ideas.

What can I do next?

HI! I have been doing Denise Austin. She's on Lifetime TV Monday-Friday 7am until 8. I have a DVR so I record it daily and do it while my kids(16 months, 3 and 4) nap. I like it because it is different everyday. I get bored with the tapes and DVDs. She does yoga, palates and aerobics in each show but targets a different area of the body each day. Good Luck!

I tried The FIRM after my first son was born and it worked great. In less then 2 months i lost 4 dress sizes and gained alot of muscle. It seemed hard at first but once you get into the routine it's easier. I also did it with a freind so that helped as well. Good Luck!

I stick my little one (2 yr old daughter) in a stroller and go for walks. I am currently looking for a walking partner if you are interested. I'm located in Flint and my husband works in Grand Blanc Township. I'm training to walk the CRIM in the fall (the 10 mile) and to walk (not run) a half-marathon in October. It is always easier to get out and get going when one has a partner to do walk with.

OOOOOO!!! there are awesome pilates and yoga routines from Crunch series workouts; you can get them at walmart and they run about 7 bucks for VHS and 10 for DVD but the BEST THING about this series is that they have something like "pick your spot pilates" i have the belly, butt and thighs one and each area has 10 minutes and you can do 1 or all three; if you only have 10 minutes then these are ideal!! i also have the crunch series TOTAL BODY WORKOUT with pilates and yoga mix. it's about 40-45 minutes long; doesn't leave you gasping for breath but the results are TRULY AMAZING!! i love these!! hope this helps! ps; i only "workout" 2-3 times a week and i've had great results with this and a slight moderation of diet.
