They pretty much amaze me everyday. But, I have been reading books to my daughter like crazy since she was born, now she is reading to me, like a pro. It is so bittersweet.
We were driving the other day and my 2 y/o son said "Mommy, when the sun goes down, the moon goes up" with cute little hand motions. Hes so smart!

Oldest son, 7 yrs old: Got a *Perfect* report card! He is WAY above in reading and math, excels in PE and is a 'leader' amongst the kids on the playground... and is the only kid in his class that has gotten EVERY spelling word correct ALL year long! Go K!!!

Middle son, 5 yrs old: Is a very shy guy but boy has he rocked it lately during his sports practices, this is his 1st time playing sports and he is doing soccer and T-ball! He was AWESOME yesterday at soccer practice, very aggressive and actually went after the ball the whole scrimmage, which oddly enough all my other boys were too timid to do when they first started out! Go W!!!

Youngest daughter, 3 yrs old: I had a Dr. appt. for a check up on my broken elbow and had to take her with me, I had to go for x-rays and I took her back with me and told her exactly where to stand and she just stood there (with arms crossed, completely still) the whole time and when we were back in the room during my visit she sat quietly and just listened...everyone commented on how 'good' she was! Go G!!!

~I am incredibly proud of all 3 of my kids and could go on and on and on...they are all so sweet and smart and wonderful little people...I love them so much it hurts!

My 16 year old has resisted peer pressure for drinking and drugs. And just recently 'dumped' a good friend because this girl just keep getting deeper and deeper with her bad choices.

It's one thing that you try to teach them. And when you see that they listen and respect you and are doing the right things and making good choices, makes a mom proud!

my 14yo son constantly provides me with "proud mama moments". This morning, he filled out the STUCO app for H.S. next year. The very 1st ? was: "what extra-curricular activities have you participated in?". His answer was: Scouts, TOP(teen outreach program), Track Team, & Quiz Bowl.

The next ? was: "have you ever held a position of leadership?". His answer was what blew me away: "Yes, senior patrol leader for Scouts & capt in Quiz Bowl". It was an in-my-face moment of clarity ......wow, he's 14 & has held "office" twice already! Proud mom moment!

Thanks for asking this ?......perfect timing!

My senior son asked me to read his paper for his English class. He has NEVER asked me to do that. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was darn good! I was so proud of him! He hates English and his paper was a satire. Drilling for oil through a straw. Funny as all ever! Daughter got wonderful grade in college this semester! Yay!!!!

My four-year-old daughter has been communicating much better. She has had a speech impediment that we have decided not to resort to intervention for and she has been overcoming that with flying colors.

My seven-year-old daughter is so bright in school. She always excels at whatever she does.

I could list so much... thank you for this question because I was just thinking yesterday how I wish my kids would quit freakin' fighting. Sometimes when they do something that annoys us so its good to remember what we love about them.

My daughter taking it upon herself to help me around the house, pick up after herself AND her little brother, and how well she does in school. She'll be 8 next month. Also... She taught herself how to ride a 2-wheel bike when she was 5. Maybe even 4.

My son being 'Mr. Polite' and being very well behaved the majority of the time. He'll be 3 in July.

While I know that all parents say their kids are smarties, I get told mine are by their teachers (daycare teacher in my son's case) and that makes me proud too.

I looked in the rear view mirror today and my three year old was biting the sharp ends off of his french fries and setting them in his lap. I asked him why he was putting his ff in his lap and he looked at me and said, "Those are for A (his one year old brother). I'm biting the ends off so he won't choke or get hurt." I was so proud!! Not of the ff's themselves (the baby doesn't get ff yet) but the fact that he not only took it upon himself to share with his baby brother, but also that he was concerned about him getting hurt and trying to avoid it! We had to have the 'its nice you want to share, but...' talk, but inside my heart just melted!

I also woke up this morning in a panic at 0800 (guess I was really tired!). I hadn't heard a peep from the baby (13 months), whose normally up by 0630 (my personal alarm clock to get my oldest up for school) so I started to freak out a little and when I went to the baby's room, he wasn't in his crib! Then I really freaked out! Turns out, my 7 yo wanted to let me sleep so when he got up he went into the baby's room, got him out of his crib, baracaded him in the living room and was playing with him on the floor. It was so sweet! I guess that's why I didn't get mad when he missed the bus (it was done here and gone by the time I got up!).

My girls are getting good grades in college and putting together their lives nicely. My oldest hasn't gone to college. But she's done well on the job. I like her as a person and of course love her so much. My 10 year old is in that place that I have to sit down and realy think about her accomplishments. She's good at things. But she is driving me crazy!

At my son's 18 month check up earlier this week he was soooo good! He sat still, let the doctor do her exam, and when he got a shot, there was not a peep out of him!! The nurse was so impressed she gave him 2 Elmo stickers, and he was delighted :) I'm still grinning about it.

My daughter's Cadette troop did the Mother/daughter tea. A high tea for 210 people. My son is 10 and he dressed in his little suit with cumberbund and bowtie and served hot tea to all these moms and daughters without a whimper, snarl, or any complaint, he actually had fun.
Then was really excited when the GS leader gave him his own tea cup and saucer.

The other day, as severe storms blew through, the school that I work at and my son attends sent the kids to the "shelter areas". I just happened to be in the same building as my son doing a project, and after about 10 minutes, I decided to wander down to where he was with the rest of his 3rd grade class. The kids are all lined up against the walls, talking mostly quietly. I go to where he is, and he's curled up with a book on his lap, completely absorbed. Gotta love a kid that reads in his spare time!

My 3 yr old is finally using the potty and wearing big girl underwear. I am so excited and proud of her. We are due in OCT and I want her to be trained so that I don't have to buy a set of diapers and pull ups. She gets so excited when she uses the potty.

We arrived late from work tonight. My son (2 years old) was upstairs trying to go to bed and I was voraciously eating my dinner at 8:30 tonight. He was chit chatting and I was so hungry that I was talking with food in my mouth. I didn't think he could tell but he told me not to talk with food in my mouth. I don't usually say that to him, maybe a handful of times.

Also on the car ride home he sneezed, I said bless you, and he said thank you. It was so sweet.

my daughter has been doing a lot lately. She took it apon herself to get a very special mother's day present for me (of course needed dad's help, but it was all her idea and she talked to the photographer about it and everything). Then the other day she came home with a robot she made in class during free time (meaning she just did it on her own with out any instructions). She used cardboard, erasers, pencils, etc. It was amazing for a 6 year old. She also is making a lot of books at home. She is so creative!

My son just went to the Dentist for the first time also. He did so amazing! He charmed all the ladies in the office. He acted like a pro and he did some of the work (used Mr. Thirsty) himself. He was such a big boy.

My 3 year old daughter is finally going pee on the potty all on her own. And she had her first trip to the dentist a few weeks ago too and was perfect! And when we had to return our last batch of library books, there was one that she really really loved and she was sad to have to bring it back. I told her we could check with the librarian and see if it was okay to check it out again. She said, "No, that's okay - we need to let other kids read it too." :)
