I tried on a few of these shapewear things, big knickers to suck it in, a bodysuit thing to flatten... they feel horrible :( I hate my doughy mid section, no matter how loose my clothes, I get this muffin top, with its surrounding rolls showing. It isnt that my clothes are tight, no matter how loose they are, I have little rolls, back wings... Im not huge, just chubby and too soft. (I also had a c section 9 months ago, and my tummy is very different now) im 5'8" and a size 12-16 depending on brands. how do you cover, camoflauge, suck it in, comfortably yet effectively. Im at a loss. If you have a suggestion, please include the brand you use, model # or whatever, because there is tons of this stuff, and Im really not familiar with it.

What can I do next?

Hi J. - I just bought some tank tops at costco. The brand is called Fat Free Dressing. They are long enough that they dont roll up. They kind of squished me up top but maybe I just needed a bigger size.

They did a great job smoothing the middle and were definitely comfortable.

I never liked Spanx. For me, they always rolled down over what I was trying to hide!

I love Magic Knickers from Trinny and Susannah. You can get them on their website.

Their website is terrific for helping you dress well, too. They were the original British versions of What Not to Wear and they are fantastic. Check it out.

Have you looked at Spanx?

This one is high enough that it would prevent a muffin-top. Looks like they have free shipping right now! I've gotten them at Macy's, so you can try the mall too.

I hear Spanx are the way to go, very expensive though. The owner of Spanx now makes a line for Target called ASSETS, my friend has both and she is very satisfied with the lower costing ASSETS.

I buy these shape wear camisoles that hold you in from the Avenue, i'm 5'10 and their long and don't roll up, personally I've never liked girdles or anything constricting, but these work perfect for me. Good Luck

Spanx, but get the size bigger than the package says.

I'm pregnant with #4 and these pregnancies have destroyed my body. I had NO tummy pooch before pregnancies and all my friends were jealous. Now, not so much. I overhead a bunch of plain jane moms at the park ALL talk about their tummy tucks and boob lifts. I was shocked. I guess I'm not the only one with flabby issues after pregnancy, but it appears I might be the only one NOT opting for elective surgery.

I tried girdles after my 2nd C-section but I found them to be really uncomfortable as well.
Exercise was the only thing that worked for me. I don't have time to go to the gym so all I can do is a few sit ups, lunges and squats a day (some days I haven't the time to do more than 10). My tummy isn't perfect and is FAR from my pre-kid days, but it isn't horrible either. I can get away with fitted tops without the muffin top.
Hope that helps.

they still have those? my husband loves those on my (i'm not fat but i'm not skinny) 5'2" 150-160 (i fluxuate) he tells me it's kinda sexy cause there's something to "hold on to" and he doesnt' feel like he's gonna break me.

i've never wore one, and probably wont, i perfer to know and see how i truly look, helps motivate me to work out instead of "hiding the truth"

no sarcasim here, just my perspective
