I just had mine and hardly anyone showed up! It was still fun seeing a few old friends and faces. I wish we would have just met at a bar...that would have made it cozier, cheaper and more fun I'm sure.

How bout yours?

What can I do next?

My 20 year was a little over priced since I only had one drink and didn't eat a thing. My 25th is coming up and we are having it at a bar. Can't wait. Practically my whole class is coming to the 25th. People are flying in from all over the country. I think they heard about how much fun we had at the 20th.

Huh. That's funny. I haven't been to any of mine... All my friends save 1 were in different years, and the one, I still talk to several times a week.

My other friends I've gotten to touch base with on Facebook.

I've always sort of wondered what reunions were like. My only point of reference is Grosse Point Blank.

It was lame. They rented a space at a Hotel, and it cost a small fortune for appetizers and drinks. No one ate anything because they came around with the food at the start (right after we all had dinner at home).

They had our 10 in a bar, and it was much more fun.

I didn't go... there is only one person I was interested in catching up with from high school. She was in the class behind mine, and we are already friends in real life. Our high school class was too big to be close, and I came into the school my junior year.

I'm usually a pretty curious person, but in this case, I just wasn't into 'finding out how everyone is doing'. I probably spent the night at home with the family.

I stayed home for my 10th. Only wanted to see 2 people and both are living Europe and wouldn't have been there.

And I imagine it like much like Point Blank too...only less death...although had I gone....

Joking, I actually would have been the nice lady with the baby who was actually pretty content and happy just being.

We just went to my husband's 20th reunion. The two women organizing the events are good friends of ours, so "opting out" was not really an option! Having said that, the weekends' events were:
-Friday night cocktail party (cash bar, no food) at a local bar owned by a family member (35 alum attended with spouses/SO)
-Saturday night dinner/dance (cocktail attire) at a boat club (50 alum with SO)
-Sunday family picnic which was catered at a local park (25 families)

We went Friday and Sunday, but turnout for all three events were pretty low considering there were 370 graduates in his class.

For my 10th, we had a huge turnout but it's a small prep school and we have all been friends since Kindergarten and most of us remain in contact and regularly fly in from all over the country to attend alum events. It's a really strong community, so I am certain that our 20th will be quite similar and very formal.

We always have a tremendous turnout,.

Before our first reunion way back in the day.. , all of the people that showed up made an agreement, lets let bygone be bygones.. No drama.. It has served us well since some of my classmates have married over and over, to different people we graduated with..

Anyway, over the years we have learned to gather at a restaurant that specializes in drinks.. So we met at a Mexican restaurant with an inside/outside bar.( Right next to a hotel, so we could walk and not have to drive. ) The restaurant allowed us to have this at no charge, because we promised we were big drinkers who gave great tips.. We warned them that beer was what most of the guys drink.. yes, they sold out..

Anyway, we also had them set up a buffet of fajitas in the beginning. .. We had a DJ come after the first hour.

We had a blast.. Then one of my crazy friends had rented a Huge Hummer Limo.. So a ton of us piled in and had the driver take up to our old high school so we could get a group shot.. Then drove us around to our old hang outs.. again more photos.

I think this time it was only $15. per person..

Oh I forgot, One of the classmates organized a golf tournament for that morning. They said they all had a good time too.

Nothing. I didn't attend 10 or 20. The coordinators seem to think everyone has lots of money to spend and choose high end places. They have gotten together every year either at a place or a picnic in Indiana (went to school in Chicago) and the next one is a cruise. I have no contact with HS classmates so not missing anything. I have seen the pics though and it really isn;t even half the class.

Mine is next weekend :)

Saturday am is golf with a family picnic to follow. Saturday evening is adults only with apps and drinks at a very nice outdoor venue.

I was not part of the "in" crowd in High School. I went to my 25th reunion. About 40% of the class showed up. Tremendously disappointing. I've never been to another and I think the organization finally disbanded as I haven't heard about any more reunions since the 35th or 40th.

To me the reunion was a (yawn) ho hum.

Good luck to you and yours.

We didn't have a 20th. We had a 17th. Lots of remedial classes in my HS.

Not many showed, more than I thought - maybe 25%.

We had a weekend which started off at the high school football game on Friday night where we gathered had food, etc. On Saturday night, we met a the country club for dinner, had music, gave awards, etc.

It was fun.. especially for me... no one recognized me and when I first came up they were looking through the yearbook to figure out who I was. I've always been very small and petite but when I was in high school my hair was very short. Now my hair is all one length and long. Thanks to good genes, my Native Americal heritage, and taking care of myself, I have not aged like many of them did. I still look about 15 yrs younger than I really am. !

Our high school is in Japan and those of us who live in the States are totally spread out. So we all met in Vegas and had a crazy weekend. My good friend, who organized it, rented out a room in one of the hotels for a cocktail/dinner party on Sat night. The rest of the time was spent catching up poolside, going on helicopter tours and just spending time with each other. It was so much fun!
