Without getting sappy, I wanted to ask what you are thankful for? What makes you happy, even on your worst of days? Of course, I'm happy for friends and family, my house and possessions.
But today, I am particularly thankful for the smart women (and the occasional men) of this board. I love that I can get on this board and find friends, or at a minimum, find entertainment!
What about you?
Music, I'm really thankful for music. That's the thing that makes me happy, even on the worst of days.
And I'm thankful for being strong and healthy, and for my job, and for the other usual stuff -- family, friends etc.

I have made many friends from this board since way back when I joined during Mamasource times. I think my daughter was around 6th grade and now she is 19.5. I enjoy the site and friends.
I'm thankful for my health, stability, successful company, hubby and my daughter who keeps on surprising me with different things she can do. I love her drive and watching her as a young woman now living in her condo about 18 minutes (I can be there in 15 if I fly and it is an ER situation, lol) away. She comes over to visit and spend time because she wants to.. I love that and I am SO thankful for her.

I am thankful for (in no particular order): the seasons and their promise, the harvests, my family, my wonderful husband and sweet boy, our future cats (silly, but looking forward to it), great food, great friends, fun people online and in the physical world, the sunshine even on this very black-cloud stormy day.
I'm thankful that my son has good people in his life besides my husband and myself. We live in a good school neighborhood, have good neighbors, like being good neighbors. I'm grateful that I've had some second chances in life and right now, it's pretty fulfilling. :)
a great family and husband, the leisure time i've craved forever, an old bod that can still run albeit slowly, and lots of books!

That first cup of coffee in the morning. A strong breeze, smiling so hard my face hurts, a shower, a job that still makes me flex my mental muscles 10+ years into it, good health, and clear skies.

I am thankful for being alive and being to enjoy the great outdoors with the wind, the sun, the temps (highs/lows).
My husband for as long as he is here.
My grown children who amaze me some days and confuse me on others with drama (good kind). Except this week my daughter had a load of colored clothes stolen from the dryer at her apartment complex so now she has to file a claim.
My job with its dysfunctional family that make things work with all of our quirks and quarks. For a boss that is a wonderful man and the grandfather figure that everyone wishes or dreams of.
My friends and extended family of blood and non-blood.
My neighborhood and my neighbors who are there if you need them but let you live your life without being attached to your hip.
My pet for being there needing me to love on her and to keep her happy and healthy.
My friends on this, the mamasource now mamapedia site. I have been a member since 2008 and it has had many changes and ups and downs. So I hope we are at a place where all is good again. I enjoy the male comments it helps us all stay grounded with a different viewpoint.
All the rest pales in comparison to be able to have what you have and to enjoy it while you have it.
Oh, my favorite rose bush is back. I thought I lost it to the severe cold we had last year. The red roses are so beautiful.

I say things I am grateful for daily, but today I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled with tears that my friend is pregnant!!!!!!!! I am so thankful and happy that this baby seems to be sticking. I just hope things stay positive.

Like you said, I'll try not to get too sappy... I find (or try to) the joy in almost everything and I'm thankful that I am able to do so.
I have a good husband, good kids (teenagers, no less!), a rewarding job and a beautiful home. It just doesn't get much better than this.
Having been a member on this board for a long time, I have also enjoyed getting to know many of the familiar names that I see. What a great group of women! And men!

I don't know if I can find the words. There are times I get upset, sometimes a short period, sometimes longer but always when I stop to think I am peaceful. I mean I look at the sum of my life and know the better is more than the worse.
I am thankful for that.
I am thankful for my stable marriage, a nice home in a good neighbourhood, financial security, good jobs and smart, talented, well behaved, healthy children.
I am thankful my kids are healthy. I am most thankful I got a job offer today!!!
I'm just thankful to be alive.
* All of our son's brain disorders are on track at the moment with just the right medications.
* Our son is healthy again after dealing with an eating disorder.
* All of our friends and family are healthy.
* I have a husband who respects and loves me.
* We are financially stable.
* My income is rebounding after a major loss last year.
Things are going so great that I expect something bad to happen. Then I realize that the bad things are always there, I was just so distracted by everything good to notice.
I am grateful for a lot of things...my imperfectly perfect family, the way I view life and my exceptional talent of convincing my children that math is fun.
The list can be extensive so let's just say that life is good =).
I am thankful for the life God has given me. A wonderful husband, four great kids,9 beautiful grandchildren, security. The good health thing, not so much, but has improved. Was very critical, but good docs and a positive outlet I am thankful to be stable now.

I'm thankful for the family I have. We may be dysfunctional at times but we always come together when we need each other. Our lives may be crazy and hectic but at the end of the day when things settle down we are all together. I'm thankful that on those hectic days and I want to throw my hands in the air and cry I always have someone reminding me why I don't.
